I'm a lvl 50 warlock and haven't been useing anything outside of a wand up until now. But after reading about the staff from the sunken temple quest, i decided to switch. But for some reason it won't let me equip a staff to my warlock. Any ideas?

you need to train staves as a warlock. this can be done from a weapons trainer in either orgrimmar or thunder bluffs for horde and i believe in darnassus for alliance. you can ask a guard if you dont know where the weapons trainers are.

train for staffs im a lvl30 ad i know that

use kralnors staff its a good one LOOK IT OVER

imo you really shouldnt get a weapon other than a wand. I have a staff but don't use it. What spec are you? I am demo. so I have a felguard. I send in my pet and dot the target and use my wand to kill him...

imo, you should get a weapon not for the damage that it does but for the stats you get from it.
for locks, its best to get a weapon with +int, stam, or spirit

Of course you should get a staff ... or even a sword + off hand - for stats.

I disagree with the stats above.

At level 50 your main stat should be stamina then intellect - spirit doesnt really do much good for warlocks.

If you can get some + spell dam as well, that's super nice!
