well not really Shadow Priests are better for PvP as they DPS more..ive never gone holy but there better in groups..

even holy specced i pwn any class 6 lvls lower ,so i guess it depends on player skill. Keep up the good work,lmao

um shadows and holys are both good fur healing in groups unless ur in a 65+ thing and u wana heal. then ur gona want holy. anywho..... holy priest fn own. they can kill druids.

no class has an advantage over another. blizz made sure taht with the right player skills each class can beat every other. fairly. and if u wana fight as a priest go shadow! like duh

um...disc priests are probly the best at pvp...
shadowpriests die to quickly and holy priests dont do any dmg

i obviosly have a disc priest :P
but there's heavy benefits like bonus spell dmg and healing
improved stam, shield, and armor
anti-crit buffs that boost stats, healing, and dmg
mana-cost reduction for spells
extra stats and evasion/dmg reducers like reflective shield and pain supression...

i see disc priests as both healers and dps, since they can do both...and even better crits than a shadow, and healing better than holy...i crited a 3k heal as a lvl 45 :P

I don't know if u were being sarcastic or not on the last post, but a disc preist cannot dps like a shadow or heal like a holy they focus on utility and survivability with skills like divine spirit and pain suppresion. I do know they r very good in Pvp like u said though :)

honestly i have a holy priest named Rebeliiah and shes almost completely epic'd out (holy)..i've healed kara, gruuls, and ZA so far and solo'd 68 elites like the other guys said its how you play your toon.  if you cant kill what you need to then just learn what works for you better its really all about that.  but its deff not about the spec you just have to know how to use the skills/spells you have =)

Huh?  The spec DOES matter.  Even the best player, with a bad spec, just won't do as well with a good one.  When I respecced from my leveling spec (heavier Disc) to my raiding spec, my total healing out increased about about 10-12% from one raid to the next, with no new gear, and certainly not THAT much of an appreciable change in my skill.

Of course, my healing output still increases with subtle changes to my spec as I see them, improvements in gear, or alterations in my healing rotation, but saying spec doesn't matter is just ludicrous.

riests are awsome...Holy can heal people which is good in instances, and shadow does damage....which is also good for instances and farming and Grinding and stuff like that....Altogther PRIESTS ROCK!

hehe a lvl 18 rogue challenged me to a duel in Westfall the other day...i as a lvl 14 priest ( 4 points in shadow FTW!) we dueled a short duel and surprisingly i won....maybe he was just a bad rogue or do priests really own ant PvP?

An 18 rogue should have beaten the crap out of a level 14 Priest.  Rogues generally beat equally geared and leveled priests, so the 4 level difference should have meant he'd destroy you.  Sounds like he just didn't know what he was doing.

If you got the right gear with the right values, priests can rock. But theres no secret that a holy priest does crappy dps. But Im in the opinion that holypriests will always be better healers in Pve as they have the ability to ''aoe-heal'' party members..

Priests are the most versatile healers, but they're not necessarily the best in a given situation.  A priest, even with CoH, is still more often than not inferior to a Resto Shaman in multi-target healing because Chain Heal will Smart target the lowest health raid members in range, meanwhile PoH only heals your own party, and CoH has a relatively small range, and only heals the target party.  Thus, CoH is only really useful if a particular party (say, the melee on Void Reaver) are taking sustained predictable damage.  If it's more random a Shaman is superior.

That said, a priest still has the ability to adequately fill in for virtually any healing assignment in virutally any situation.  I'll even say that a priest who can effectively manage their OO5SR time can even have more longevity than an equally geared paladin.

Also, yes, Holy Priests don't have much DPS, but we're not specced for DPS.  It's like asking a Prot warrior to DPS or a Feral Druid to heal.  That said, in my DPS gear (mostly Kara and Badge gear, but full epic) I can still put out almost 800 DPS while still 23/38; hell, even in my Healing gear (T5+) I can get more than 600 DPS.  If I go LOLSmite or Shadow I can easily hit 1000+ DPS.

I am a level 20 holy and I know that a holy priest can pwn any1 6 or less levels higher.  Today I almost beat a level 30 warlock lol.

BS.  The only way anyone could beat someone 10 levels higher is if they REALLY suck AND they have terrible gear.  A level 30 Warlock could beat a level 20 Priest by just sicking his pet on him and sitting back and wanding... no real effort involved at all.  If he actually DoTed, feared, and drained mana, it wouldn't even be close.

at lvl 27 my holy priest beat a lvl 31 rogue several times. he beat me also but i shouldnt have won even once. its all about how u play. gear is important but playstyle is the key

It's a lot different fact that go into 1 vs 1 play, with all thing equal disc & shadow preist can hold their own. We all no holy preist no really made for 1 vs 1 but in right battle they can win too. I do agree about if somebody 10 level high then you it's no way to should win because of high levl ability to resist spell and damage because of level differents. The biggest level I see somebody win was 6. I seen a 42 level hunter beat 48 mage.

Priests r probly 1 of the best pvp classes if theyr played by a good player that knos wat he/she is doing if not they can still pwn just because of the vast amount of skills dmg then shield and heal up if u need it (similar tactics 2 a pally xcept as a ranged clothie :P) holy rlly isnt the best build 4 nething xcept major healing which isnt always needed i mean shadow priests can outheal resto druids and shammys the only one ne build of priest other than holy couldnt beat is a holy pally because they r another 1 of the best healers in the game if specced rite and like i said priest and pally tactics r very much alike they were almost designed off of each other Shadow priests r always wanted 4 arena matches and guilds and raids just because of the utility of good dmg and good healing both at the same time (unless ur in shadow form) add a part disc spec in and u have a swiss army knife of a character who can do just about nething (xcept tank or melee dps :P)
