I am a 380 Jewelcrafter, and I don't understand why JC does not have any single profession epic Design, even if it meant to have to use a Primal Nether.
Other professions have epic items, hard to make but accessible if you are determined to make them.
I know you can get some epic designs with some factions (like the Consortium), but still it looks like a lot of hard work for something I think should have been in the Trainer's cookbook to start with.
Meta gems are the only Designs with above-average quality, of course, but they have limited use.
Still, I hope with the new Wrath we will see some improvements for JC.
There are epic designs from raid dungeons as well. Join a raiding guild and get lucky of thats what you are after.
Well, what I meant is that almost every profession has some high level epic items which are not BoP. These usually sell for 700g+, sometimes even over the 1000g mark.
With the Consortium/Sha'tar/etc you do get epic designs, but the gems you produce are BoP too.
I'm just trying to get a good return for a profession which costs a lot of gold to level in the first place (hey, I want my epic flying mount too).
So, my suggestion to Blizzard is "how about it?".
I also don't understand why my original post got a negative rating. I'm just stating my opinion in a polite way. I'm sure many jewelcrafters would share my point of view. Perhaps I am mistaken ?
Try Black Temple...its has a few Epic Gems to be cut and sold that arnt BoP.....but Good luck....hahaha
Really ? Which Designs are you talking about, specifically ?
And are you sure they create sellable gems ?
Not doubting your word, just enquiring.
I dont know the Jewelcrafting designs name but I have seen the gems being sold on my server by a member of the only horde guild in BT at the moment and the gems are soo nice. Basically you have the gems you can cut that increase stats by +8....normaly...thats all you see as high as you can sell cause they are BoE....But I came across this fellow last night selling Epic +10 gems to the public that where both epic and BoE...I asked him where he got the designs and his answer was Trash Mob drops in Black Temple. Thats as far as I know on the matter. But considering BT is for elite raiders and takes months to get geared up to that point to enter that is prolly why you or the mass public of wow players have not seen any of the gems...but I do believe the patterns are BoP but the Gems you craft are BoE....so that is a reason you have not seen them in AH either...so that takes the chances of having a crafter to craft them even lower....But you may wanna put some research into it farther....personaly My JC is on my pally and I am fine with only being able to craft Epic gems just for myself...thats the only reason I took JCing is for them nice +12 stam gems I can socket up on myself.
Thanks for the info.
I have not tried Tempest Keep yet (still attuning for Kara), but I'll certainly give it a go :-)
you also get epic rings whit frost and nature resistance(for tanks that wanna tank hydros)
the gems other dude mention u need at least friendly whit scale of the sands(mount hyjal dudes)and mats for those gems are from hyjal and BT and if u get em they go to guildies only sometimes they are sold on AH and money goes to guild
375 JC here. I picked up an epic JC design in the Botanica. Cloth headpeice, think it's called "Coronet of the Verdant Flame" but can't verify that for sure without being in-game looking at it. BUT, it has crazy mats requirements that nobody would probably want to buy. Hence, haven't made or sold one yet. But it is there.
jewelcrafting only goes up to 375 , how can you be 380?
um hes a i whatse i can't spell it on the allinace which has a +5 JC
