Hope you can help me, 'cause I searched in every forum I know and found no answer...

When I try to cook sthg (consider that my cooking lvl is up to 1, as I haven't managed to cook anything till now), a red writing appears on the screen saying: "requires %s".

Even if I set a campfire and I am provided with the required food, I can't cook anything 'cause this kind of message keeps on appearing. I have everything needed to cook, I can't understand  what this "requires %s" means.

Hoping u can give me hand, I salute all the wow players!

That sounds like a bug, and you should open up a GM ticket (after you double check that you have all of the ingredients).

I kind of solved the problem quite by chance...once I bumped into a cooking fire already set by s.o. and I finally managed to cook sthg.

I think that odd msg ment sthg like: "u need a cooking fire to do it". But if so, I wonder why I can set a campfire if it isn't of any use..perhaps it has a meaning for further recipes..

I'm having the same problem - I've tried cooking over many different fires, but most of them give me this error. I have managed to cook at some remote locations, but 99% of the time it doesn't work - any ideas???

Please help me here, it's a sad state of affairs...

have you gone to the major cities, found a cookingtrainer, and stood next to the large cooking apparatus they have? steamers, large cooking fires...furniture designed to allow for cooking?

Sometimes you cache file can get corrupted. Jsut delete the cache files... that should solve the issue. Dowside is it may remoce some of your saved points and such...

"Cooking Requires %s" is a common error in private servers. Half the world's campfires can't be used as cooking fires. You're better off bringing your own flint and wood if you're in a private server.
