And got 1 more question :D if u have a wand taht make shadow dmg do u get mana / hp if u have Ve / Vt on?
To answer the OP, yes, Shadow Priests are viable in end-game PVE and PVP. Shadow Priests are amazing in 5-mans, very powerful in 10-mans (especially since all the casters usually fit in one group), and absolutely necessary in a 25-man. Most raids run with at least 1 Shadow Priest and often 2.
For PVP, Shadow Priests are great because of the DOTs, single target nuke damage, reduced damage taken, and other utility spells (PW:S, PW:Fort, Fear, etc.). If you're looking for a spec, I'm not a Shadow Priest myself, but I did some heavy discussion of potential shadow specs in other recent threads. To avoid having to remake a tree and post it, and because other discussion in those threads is probably useful for a new priest, just look at other recent threads on Shadow Priests and look at some of the specs there. If you have specific questions, post your spec and I'll be happy to comment on it. And got 1 more question :D if u have a wand taht make shadow dmg do u get mana / hp if u have Ve / Vt on? No, you do not get health/mana back from a wand with Shadow Damage. However, IIRC, Shadow Weaving DOES effect all Shadow Damage, so a Shadow Wand is still slightly preferable. Stats still heavily outweigh wand damage in most cases, especially in Raids and PVP where max DPS simply can't be acheived through any amount of wanding lest you're OOM. However, IME, many high end wands do shadow damage, probably precisely because of this. This is particularly true of the ones you're likely to see like most level 70 Blue wands, or the badge one, the one from Aran, or the one from Mags. FWIW, the only time I pay any heed to wand damage is when I'm soloing simply because that's the only reasonable way to not be spending 30s drinking every fifth or sixth mob.
tyvm m8! i know a lot more now :D ty rly :D
spriests are OP in arena due to mana burn.

You need to drag "Shoot" from your spell book to your action bar. spriests are OP in arena due to mana burn. Actually, Shadow Priests are all but useless in arena. Mana Burn IS powerful, but you don't need to be a shadow priest to use it. In fact, a Disc Priest is better off for it, since he's in the Disc tree ANYWAY, and gets Improved Mana Burn.
for shadow that spec for arena (17/0/44) they get the reduced cast time and do extra damage from shadowform on mana burn. Which is why they are OP in arena. Combine that with bubble rage starving warriors, blackout procs and a well timed 5 sec silence on a healer.

Combine that with bubble rage starving warriors, blackout procs and a well timed 5 sec silence on a healer. The extra damage from Mana Burn is nice, but the purpose of Mana Burn isn't to kill your opponent, it's to burn his mana, so the damage it does is really irrelevant, and it would STILL be useful, even if it did minimal damage. As for a Bubble, that's something a Disc or Holy Priest is likely to have as well, so you're really stuck weighing the DPS of a Shadow Priest, plus the 10% stun chance and Silence versus the benefits of another possible spec, like Discipline. If you look at the leader charts in arena, you'll see that less than 10% of Priests are Shadow. Discipline offers an enormous amount more survivability, as well as some spectacular arena buffs, like Power Infusion (which is being changed so it will be more Arena friendly) and Pain Suppression. I've never run into a Shadow Priest in arena or BG whom I did not out match from my superior survivability and larger mana pool, and I generally don't bother to respec to Discipline from Holy for arena simply because I seldom get all the games done sequentially.
