hey I beleive that shadowpriests shouldn't use all their talents in the shadow talent tree, if you ask me you should add some to diciplin for a better power word shield and fortification

I agree.  I spec mostly shadow, but put enough points in the disc tree to get improved PWF, meditation, and Inner Focus.  very good raid setup

14/0/47 is THE spriest raid spec.  For arenas getting imp. mana burn 17/0/44 is ftw.

Agreed.  Shadow Priests can use Unbreakable Will, Imp. Fort, Imp. PW:S, Meditation, and Inner Focus.  Going any deeper would cost more points than it's worth, unless you're doing PVP, but want to stay shadow.

I think when you go deep enough in disipline to get improved mana burn that is when you should stop in dicipline for shadow priests, after all its one of the most dangerous spells I've seen, takin out mana and health... ouch

Hey guys i was wondering if this is a good talent tree at 70 for dmg/off healing with Vamp.www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/priest/talents.html?000000000000000000000023505103030 2100501000513200510050120050000

Hey guys i was wondering if this is a good talent tree at 70 for dmg/off healing with Vamp.www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/priest/talents.html?0000000000000000000000235051030302100501000513200510050120050000

The problem with the Holy and Shadow trees is that there's virtually no synergy.  You're seriously nerfing the damage and utility of a Shadow build by not grabbing Shadow Form, Shadow Focus, Misery and Vampiric Touch.  Similarly, you're nerfing your healing by not having Spiritual Guidance and Empowered Healing.  You could sort of fix both of those by dumping Light Well (which is situationally useful at best, IMO), Healing Prayers, Holy Nova, and one point in Spiritual Healing for Max Spiritual Guidance (more plus healing and damage).  You could even drop a second point and grab Shadow Form, but then you'd have to drop form if you wanted to heal.  If you REALLY want to give it a try, I might start with a build like this:

http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/priest/talents.html?0000000000000000000000235050030300150400000053240410040120040000

Even in that case, you're still giving up an enormous amount of utility and longevity by not putting points in the Discipline tree.  Not only is Improved Fort awesome, but Inner Focus and Meditation are virtually indispensible to any Priest build.

I did try a Holy/Shadow hybrid build for a while when I started the switch from Shadow to Holy at level 60 (back pre-BC), and I was both a sub-par healer and a sub-par DPSer, when if I stuck to one, I could be excellent at one and not a whole lot worse than I already was at the other.

Edit:  If you REALLY want to do a Damage / Off heal spec, since this current spec doesn't include VT or Misery, you're probably much better trying a slightly modified LOLSmite build.  With that, you'll be able to do damage comparable to a full Shadow build, while still being able to do a reasonable job off-healing; what you'd be giving up would be the utility of a full shadow build (Misery, Vampiric Touch, Black Out, and Shadow Weaving)
