i know this comes up time after times and i've flicked through and a not a lot of sense has been made. right prepare for a shock....
im a lvl 55 rogue with a Lockpicking level of 111 :O
my rogue trainer says to go to durnholde Keep but i've pick pocketed around there and i cant find anything that will up my lock picking.
any one got any hints on areas to go and please dont abreviate.

If you go to the sides of the buildings you'll find
boxes and by the stairs of the houses
and sometimes in the houses!

The chests there can take awhile to respawn, go back and visit often as this is a 'rogue hotbed'; make sure to look for the locked boxes, they are everywhere! (in buildings, behind them, randomly on the side, to the far right is three in a open stone ruins looking area.)
ALSO: make sure you are pickpocketing!!! You get alot of chests this way in there- sometimes you have to open a few before you level- I think I got to 150 or so from Dunhold Keep~ hope that helps :)

im also a 55 rogue and starting to get up my Lock picking from 107.... go over to Arathi Highlands from Hillsbrad. Head for StromGarde Keep from in there u can pick pocket lvl 70 boxes that have taken me to 150 pickpocketing in about 2hrs. Turn right when u get in there and u can pickpocket the scarlet defenders and what not....u can also pickpocket the ogres that hang around in Stromgarde, it was about 1 box per 7-10 pickpockets, there all close mobs though, and pickpocketing luckily goes up preatty muck per pick =)

i have met people who say the lp isn't worth it last night i got paid 1g to open a locked box i think it was lvl 80. I was stoked it is so worth it. I go to hillsbrad to lvl my lp.
Caslar Welcome the the rogues redemtion after putting up with so much crap from hunters they pay us to open their boxes love it. then we can always agro many mobs then reset aggro

lol that is true. I wish i had made my main toon a ud I get so many lockboxes and can't send them to my rouge. I have to pay someone to open it. errr
