What was the biggest moment where you just had to lean back in your chair, stare akwardly at your computer screen, and think, WTF?

Mine was when I tried to ninja loot the gurubashi arena chest. I was level 30 and decided to try and steal the arena chest. I ran up just as the guy put down the chest, and noticed a level 70 shaman dash up on her epic mount right next to me. I had to get out of Ghost wolf, she off her epic, and we both just made a break for it. Needless to say, she dropped her fire elemental totem and it 2 shotted me. Than just to be a pain, I self Rezzed and stabbed her one more time just to make her take longer.


I released my spirit and looked at my map. I thought, "DAMN, this looks like a long corpse run... sigh..." and started running. After I took about 10 steps, I see "Emilee wants to ressurect you" pop up. Emilee being the level 70 that just ganked me. I think "WTF? Does this chick just wanna gank me again? Aah, whatever." And I accept.


We both run out of the arena and into the stands, and our FFA flags drop. Than, she turns to me and gives me all the loot except the trinket! (which I didn't want anyway) Being a level 70, she told me, she had no use for stupid level 49 bracers, and she said I was free to take them. So, I got 5 level 35 healing potions and a pair of awesome level 49 mail bracers for nothing. How sweet is that? I just thought, "WTF? Man. And here I thought level 70s were arrogent, and, you know, DIDN'T enjoy being pestered and slowed down by dumb lowbies."

Mine was when I logged in to find my level 68, 3 level 60's and one level 49 completely naked. That was a sad, sad day. I lost all of my gear and the gear that Blizz restored was nowhere near what I had. Not mention losing all of the gold I had acquired over 2 years time.

Since then I have built a new computer for the sole purpose of playing WoW. It is completely locked down and I do not visit any websites from it. Stupid keyloggers...

thats harsh, dude. one other thing to do is to do a virus scan EVERY WEEK thats one way i keep my game from havin shit like that happen to it.

yea, I actually run several virus scanners (mostly free) and several ad and keylogger scanners as well. They are scheduled to run every night. If only I could put the desktop in a bubble. :-)

My biggest WTF moment was when I talked my friend into playing WoW for the first time.  So, I get this guy all pumped about playing some WoW.  He goes out buys a computer, buys WoW, and sets himself up for WoW.  So he's in my room with his computer and we are sharing internet.  He makes his character and logs in.  Immediatley when he logs in he turns to me and says "Dude I just died".  I, having played for about a year and some odd months now, sit back in my chair and think "WTF".  He resses and immediately dies again.  So now I'm really thinking "WTF"!  Come to find out, there was a lvl 70 Horde Rogue just sitting there at the Starting Zone for the humans, backstabbing lvl 1's.  I'm like are you serious?  Who gets off on that? Although it's pretty funny...lol =P.  So me being a lvl 70 SPriest, I grab a friend lvl 70 Hunter and we go and run this guy outta town til he logs lol.

I was in SM Cath, with a 60 Pally (before BC). Just as we clear half the mobs, he says 'I need to go to a raid, so I'll just try and kill the boss as fast as possible'.

So he pulls the boss, and 30 mobs zerg him. He then bubbles and continues to hit the boss. His bubble ends, and he dies.

We were all standing rather far away, and laughing our asses off. Needless to say, we didn't complete the instance (no healer/tank)

This is a combo noob, WTF moment.  When i was still lvling my warrior, i was running RFD and a nice set of boots drop, think they were mail.  Anyways they were a huge upgrade over what i had so i asked if i could need knowing that nobody else in the group could use them.  Two of the guys say sure, so i need.  Right away our priest gets pissed at me, saying he wanted them also and how dare i need anything in an instance.  He then emotes on me several times, curses me out, then leaves the party.  Everyone was like WTF is his deal !?!

There was this one time I was going through SM with a 67 rogue and some others. We were all fighting except this one guy, a dwarf. He was just standing around doing nothing, not responding to wsp or group chat. In the end we booted him, and the rogue said he had just been wsping her the whole time, asking her some crap or something.

There was another time when I was going through DM and there was a guy who would not stop needing things. He was one of the guys helping these two noobs through, I was the other, but nowhere did we say he could need everything. And, like the other guy, he wouldn't talk to us at all. Half way through I told the leader, one of the noobs, to boot him, because this guy doesn't know english. You know what, when I said that he said he did know english, but then continued to ignore us after that. So, after threatening to leave, the leader finally booted the guy, and all I could say was "ABOUT F***ING TIME!!!"

  So we are in SSC and we have easily cleared up to lurker.  We are all getting into the lovely boiling water and taking our places around the platforms.  We actually had to replace someone and explain the roles to a few people.  There was this one rogue who was ADHD or something.  He could not stand still he would swim circles in the water and weave between the platforms constantly taking damage.  He would even walk in and out of the water really fast to take 500 damage per tic.  Our 7 healers had to heal him the entire downtime.  We all tell him to stop taking damage then he says I dont hear ya you should type (we are all in vent)  So he gets out of the water and starts jumping over the water on the platform repeatedly. Newayz we fish lurker and of course the rogue is to close to middle lurker immediately targets him One-Shot and there he lay dead the entire fight.  That was WTF we cannot get you to stop playing during downtime and during actual combat he lasted 4 seconds!!!

WTF!!!!  (Don't be 12 its called patience)

but generally people in instances which are gonna be a challenge for em behave appropriately and that dude obviously has just been noobing his way to 70 lol

a resto druid who decided to come along on a boost through SM who was MELEEING in main humanoid form!!! MELEEING!!!!!!!! YOU'RE NOT A WARRIOR, A PALADIN OR A ROGUE!!!!! or enhancement shaman for tht matter....and he ended up dying.....now i was handling the mobs SO easily i DIDNT need help which is the point of a boost! they kill, you loot!

Lol me and my roomate were running wc, i was on my 19 pally and he was on his 24 geared rogue.  so it was a breeze.  everyone knows how easy wc is so we were jsut flying through it.  we had this mage who was an idiot and could obviously tell it was his main(19).  Well were goign and he is needing everything.. i mean everything leather, mail, cloth it was rediculous.  so all four of us are geting pissed.  Luckily he was getting out rolled on the important stuff but he was still needing all.  We kept telling him to stop and he say swell im an enchanter i need it... were all laughing at this idiot.  Unfortunately he was the leader of the gropu :\ and about the time we get around to the last boss i convince him to pass me lead hehe.  so i could boot him at any time. we get on last boss and the staff drops that he actually NEEDS. Well what do we do.... Me and the rogue roll need. the rogue wins it and instantly types i need for healing set :).  Then immediatly the mage leaves group and hearthed out.. It was a pretty good time if i must say so.  He probably cried for hours IRL

in heroic SP i think it was, anyway, we had a good group.  me, (70 surv hunter) was with a few other well geared people.

but things went wrong right as we got to the first boss.  the tank and a warlock got in a fight for who knows what, and next thing you know, the lock is booted from group by the tank (leader).  the lock then pulls the boss and kills us all.  the end

ok i think my favorite WTF moment was when i was in the outland theres a horde fighting a big giant im whacthing th ebattle he survives and then i start wondering how did he do that so i run over to him then behind the monster there are like 20 lvl 70s just standing there healing up they all killed the thing when it look like only one was there i was like WTF just happened lol

i guess this could be considered a noobish mistake, but i seriously dont know how it couldve happened. I was running scholo with my lvl 56 disc priest and a friends lvl 70 hunter, and i had trying to kill the lady behind all the undead (for the doctor quest). So i rez and go loot her for a staff, which was way better than mine, when all of a sudden, one of the spiders comes out of nowhere and has a bunch of undead kited with her! and only to make thing worse, the spider doesnt just go straight throught the straight-away, but turns the corners and kites even more undead! i died in like 3 seconds, and my friend was pist off cuz he also died...
i never noticed i had aggroed someone, and well, i had never seen it, so i was like WTF?!
lol i stayed stunned on my chair for who knows how long

in ramps it was me (63 priest), 70 hunter, 65 warrior and 2 rogues the war and hunter get into a fight and then we get to last boss and when i was drinking to get mana hunter casts misdirect on me, pulls the 2 guys, leaves grp, FD, and hearths out and we wipe...

i waas like "WTF did i do?!?!"

Im 70 now but when i was about 54 a lvl 60 rogue came with us claiming he had quests to do in blackrock depths, so for crowd control we were asking him to sap for about 10mins but we thought he was afk. so we waited...

"Hey guys! Im sorry I was helping my mother with the shopping. What's Sap?"

Ok well me (66 War.) and a friend (69 prst.) were quietly questing in Nagrand when all of a sudden a tier 6 geared shamman comes out of no were and just ganks us in about 2 sec.
Well I died by a rock so i though i could run. I THOUGHT WRONG!
This guy had his epic flying mount and he cought up to me in no time.
When i rezd I told the priest to run the other way.  So he killz me then flys and kills the priest in about 20sec.  After about 30min of running and dieing i was 2 seconds away from going /kill myself.  I mean "WTF" After 30min we finnaly get 2 70 rogues to help us.  HE F&*#$&#^$^%CKN KILLZ BOTH OF THEM.  And im just standin there seyin.... WTF



And another is wen a 0 rogue ran me through SM cath and ran all the way to the boss agroed the whole instance then vanished. And i get kill in like .00001 sec.  And he just wispers " NOOOB" IM LIKE WTF NUB.

my "wtf moment" was having a conversation with a paid gold farmer. he spoke horrible broken english and it was funny as hell. lasted about 5 minutes then he said "bakc too wurk" or somethin like that.

hey im new to thisw wow stuff... i did the 10 day free trial and got hooked, so i bought the battle chest at my local game stop, it included the burning crusade expansion pack,which i loaded, but for some reason it wont let me choose the dranei or the blood elves as a character... any clues?

u need to have the burning crusade installed (the expansion)

yeah, you need to go to worldofwarcraft.com and on your account, upgrade to TBC...you also gotta have BC installed

that weird throaty gaggly noise as they run at you. first time i heard that i thought "WTF!? someone drowning a dog??"

The first time I started leveling a hunter, I got my tame beast spell. I then (being a stereotypical night-elf hunter, lol) thought that I could tame anything.

So I remembered that those harpies I saw could shoot fireballs! And I decided to tame them. After 15 mins of trying, I found out about 'beasts', 'humanoids', etc


Or the other time I tried getting a quest item to drop, and after 2 hours I realized I forgot to turn the earlier quest in....

My biggest WTF moment is when i was playing a 2v2 arena. My partner had just died and the warlock feared me when i was near the wall. Then i somehow got feared outside the arena and started falling and never stopped. I decided "i've got time, ill just wait for them to leave." so i go grab a bite to eat and when i come back to the screen it sais "VICTORY!" :D

I was running Uldaman. We're about twenty minutes in. A Warlock aggros a huge group of mobs. Suddenly he leaves the party, hearths out, and then quit the guild. We wiped. He would not respond to our whispers, and everyone in the party said they had no problems with him. I'm still wondering WTF? If you read this, tell me what happened!

my biggest WTF moment isnt actually in wow, bit it is wow related.  Im sitting in band class (cause band is for all the cool people, right?) when my band director announces some old guy is here to help us play better.  So we play a bit and he listens and gives us some advice.  Then he randomly breaks off into how band is like.. you guessed it, WoW.  How the people who play the boring bass parts are like the protection warriors and the healer, they wanna go in a whack at the bad guy, but they can't.  Its weird how it actually makes sense and was a great analogy, just a little too wierd

I remember questing in tirisfal glades as my first ever character: an undead mage.  So I got near this place where everything had a skull instead of a level.  I didn't know what to do, so I asked in general chat, and someone said it was the wlecome bear and I should go give it a hug.  So i walked near it and did /hug and died.  Now the bears are the ones that get 1shotted

ok,i was a 12 rogue at this time (im 56 now),and i was dueling a 56 mage for fun....she had full health,or about 98%,and suddenly she dies!!!! the 70 hun goes WTF!!! and he said there was no horde or anything!!then,everybody went WTF.

my 2nd WTF moment was in Dm,i was with my 70 rogue friend and he was boosting me in the INSTANCE and some lvl ??(even to my rogue m8 as he said) 1 shotted me and my m8,and we could not get into the instance cuz it said sumthing like this part is oflimits and i as pissed and me and my m8 were like WTF just happened to our bodys,WTF is goin on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I was in WSG, and a Rogue jumps me. Being a Warlock, I think "oh well, I'm screwed now".

However, he didn't Crippling Poison (this is 70 BG; he has Shiv). Also, he didn't Kidney Shot, but Exposed Armor.

I then kited him around and killed him, as you probably guessed.

Another one is when a Rogue just ran up to me and started autoattacking.

This is actually my friends wtf moment.  His first toon was a hunter and he got the point where he wanted to tame his first beast. So he decides to go for a bear, but little did he know that the bear he tried to tame was a lv 40 druid just running around. So he tries to tame it and the guy says to him "Dude, you cant tame me" my friend then very excitedly yells to me "HOLY SHIT DUDE A TALKING BEAR!!"  ROFL

mine was when i just got to new server (the scyers) and player a paladin for the first time, as it was roleplay that not everyone does i noticed i tried anyway "may i help you and kind sir" all that stuff. well...met another paladin getting attacked by horde (pvp was on) and i said even if skulls i have to help....so used all my mana to heal him...yes i died but the paladin lived long enough to to kill the horde and get to sw...he tells me ty and i think that is it.

Next day i get mail...50g saying thank you and hope this will help you lvl...wtf that guy rocks as i had no money...i will always help...you never know

My one is when this horde shammy was dancing naked in the middle of Ironforge and everyone was just watching and nobody was owning him. iT was funny until a pally nerfed him

The other day I was in WSG.  I'm ally so of course we never win.  So the first game, Horde caps their first flag.  So everyone on ally knows what happens next.  QQ ... we need to quit.  Just let them win.  Don't try, you'll just prolong the pain.  We end up losing 0-3.

The very next BG, basically the exact same group.  I'm like WTF.  So I start lecturing everyone to learn from the Horde.  Stick together instead of running around like a herd of cats, etc.  Wouldn't you know?  We pulled off a 3-0 win.  Just a win in WSG on ally is a WTF moment.

We either got lucky.  They were really, really tired.  Or we went up against a premade of 10 years olds.

Either way... respect Horde play in WSG.

My biggest WTF moment was when I went over to my friends house and he was playing wow and only wearing a superman shirt. I just hope he was atleast wearing underwear.

This made me fo wtf for like 2 seconds before i started cracking up. It was kinda a had to be there moment.  Well there was this s3 rogue that had an epic flyer i only had 60%.
We were near the edge of shadowmoon valley. We were really high in the air and he hit out of mid air and dazed me.  So we are both falling and i bubble since im a pally. i land right on the ledge and the rogue goes flying right by into empty space.  I get back onto my flying mount and look down to see a corpse on a floating rock right under me.

ok, so my bro has an awesome subtlety nelf rogue. he hated the horde but after I got this recorded, he switched. I went on his rogue and started recording me jumpin around lookin fo things to do. all of the sudden it said auberdine was under atk. 4 effin tauren druids in boomkin were dancing in a circle. I stealthed into the center of em and they all /waved and columns of white starting raining on my head. I ran back to my corpse and I became alive again;and was /bowed and /waved and then columjs of white went on me again. I  spirit healed but they just chased me again lol
