is it worth putting any pts on shield specialization?

Yes...There are certian reasons to grab shield spec in enhancement...Lower lvl twinking when you are playing a flag runner with Improved shields and ghost wolf.  Also when your lvling a enhancement shaman its good to take it as a pre 70 build.  there will be times when you accidently pull more then 1 or 2 mobs and will need the extra defense.  I remember lvling to 70 when the little extra defense of a shield was a blessing to me.  But those are about the only reason to take that talent.

I don't think its worth it if you put it in there you see later on youre gonna be dual weilding anyway and duals is much better for stormstrike.

i think its better to not put talent point in shield and pu your self enhancement at lvl 40 to have duel wield bot before that (lvl 10-40)go elemental

You will want shield specialisation in raids trust me. My shammy is often relied on to off-tank, so this talent helps an awful lot. But as a lower level, you may not be required to offtank, but the choice is yours :)

I was a main tank from level 35-55 and I have to tell you that the balance between melee dps and tanking is a a very slippery slope. Contrary to popular beleif, shamans can be quite good at main tanking pre-70, and I was. While this is true, it is also true that it required me to almost completely change my talent build to put out the amount of damage that I do as an enhancement shaman. For myself as a dps shammy, I didnt spec for sheilds, toughness anticipation or anything like that because with the addition of trinkets and berserk heal, I really dont have to worry about dying since I basically kill shit so damn fast. It doesnt help that certain peices of my gear are more than 10 lvls out dated but if you handle that situation better than I, you shouold be fine without defensive talents.

Enhancement don't need it at all. DW is much much much better and a lot more fun than just one 1 weapon and sheild.

if u r doin 2v2 arena and u r 2v2n with another dps class then yes it is worth it because if ur with another dps then u r gna get targetd hardcore so if u go in with a shield the initial hit wont b as bad on u, and its easy as to marco ur weps with ur ss so u always still hit them with ur max dmg with ss
