Learn Prospecting Inside Jevelcrafting. Then You can extract Jevels from Copper, Tin ... ore. For example from tin ore You can make 1 gold for minute with prospecting.

You Can also cut jewels for other people.

I found crafting items for clothies (yeah, I'm a rogue) are the best money makers.  Moonsoul Crown, Golden Ring of Power (highly recommended) and Ruby Crown of Restoration got me my mount and epic mount as I reached the levels for them.
I just turned 70 and might be able to raise 500g more in a week to get my flying mount.  Or not - depends on the AH.

I am a 375 JC and exalted with SSO. Now that there are SO many more designs to make, People are always askin for the epic gems because there are not bop and unique. Meta gems and those are my biggest sellers. I made 90g in 5mins cutting 16 gems someone needed once. I average about 10-20g tips for cuttin the epic gems. I have only bought the 1's that people always ask for but if they need a certain 1 cut, I will buy and just charge them 50% for the design i have to buy, and then i get more people wanting it when i advertise it so i get my $$ back plus more now. JC is expensive to lvl but does pay off in the end. Plus you never have to buy a gem for yourself. If you mine you can prospect what you gather. Its the best!!

how do u take up prospecting???

u get the skil when u learn JC i think but u need 5 ores for each prospect and u always get atleast 1 gem sometimes 2 but i only get that like 20% or less of the time but i do get from time to time when im looking for a gem
