I am a level 70 full prot warrior with about 11k hp
its hard to find a kara group because of my low hp
but i have a high defence rating
15% dodge
15% block
13% parry
i also know i need about 490 defence but i have about 435 atm
and i was wondering where could i possibly get gear with good stam and defence so i can finialy tank kara
Get the felsteel set. Good starting out stamina and good def rating. You'll replace it pretty quickly, and it generally isn't too expensive if you farm the AH for a while.
the cloak off illhoof is crap, i use pepe's shrowd from hyjal trash ^^

dude the lvl 70 tank that only has 11k hp and that low parry dodge and block, what are you using dps gear? lvl 69 tank 12k hp and over 60% deflection.
your joking right? I mean, that cape from Illhoof? dont think any tank with the right mind uses that one ever.
And yea, your gear sucks, get epic crafted gun, bracers of the green fortres, full felsteel with +40 stam and full +12stamgems, get decent enchants, you know, not +7stam on bracers but the +12 one etc.
Get shield first bos SL and trinket from second bos(huge defenceincrease) and last bos drops shoulders that are better then the ones from heroic SH.
Boots and ring from Bot, another ring in Arca, chest in Mech.
Yes I have a 70 warrior :p. changed to fury now and doing BT, after tanking PuGs for 2 months you get a sort of burn-out.
Look, this gear is fine, but i ahve noticed that stamina isn't always the way to go. I have reached 18K hp. but i chose to go down to 17 in favor of more defense and block chance. I think this is alot better than just focussing on building stamina.
I agree, having all stamina gems is ok but you need to have some of the epic gems from heroics that give plus defense, or block, or dodge, and stamina or hit rating.
Best cloak non-raid is the devilshark cape from warlord in steamvaults, after that go raiding and get the cape from the eye. thorium cape is good tanking cape for druids.
If you dont have the time or guild to run raids, (kara, gruuls, and so on) you can get very good gear from running heroics and buying with badges. For a tank there is a chest piece for 100 badges http://thottbot.com/i34939 that is just as good as tier 5 if not better.
This is a list of the best easily obtainable level 68 - 70 blue quality tanking gear that DOES NOT require reputation OR running any heroic dungeons. You may need a couple +def gems but tanking Kara won't be a problem in this gear.

As far as neck and rings, there are a lot of choices, IRON BAND OF THE UNBREAKABLE (1st boss in Old Hillsbrad) is good way to go. It depends what stats you need/want so just keep your eyes open.
