I used to raid with as a destro warlock. Since I wasn't epiced out like most of my raid pals I ended up somewhere in #12 on the damage chart. I thought it was all about the gear but then I respec over to affiction, after seeing that our 2# and 3# dps'ers were aff warlock. Bam! Next raid im on #3 on the damage chart out dpsing people in my blues/epics!. I suggest to any hardcore raiding warlock to try out aff, unless you have another spec that you like more.

But Aff doesn't benefit from +haste and +crit, which probably comes with some equips.

And Destruction is easy:
