Elemental is my thing, and if you're good at it you'll be awesome. If you suck, you'll suck. I mean, really, shaman power boils down to your skill. You may be the best mage in the world, and switch to a shaman and be lame. I, personally, can take down a hunter up to 5 levels higher than me if I get the first shot and he's unprepared (I love frost shock), and hell, if you want more proof that shamans need skill, I killed a level 39 draenei shaman at level 34, both starting at full health and mana, and I never even got past half health. As a hunter, you might not be the best at playing it, but you can still be good. As a shaman, your skill= your strength. Just the opinion and experiences of a humble noob, though. :D
