ok I have a lvl 18 preist and my freind is a warrior my lvl. Were planning on questing together for awile so I was wundering wat spec would supplement my preist(I'm almost certain I'm going disc, unless sny1 here can tell me a reason not to) better: fury or arms?? And also after a good talent for the warrior can be decided what r som not so obvious talent choices that would be very good or not good at all for us questing together. Btw he does first aid so I'm trying not to get too many holy talents. I'm not looking for ideas JUST in the lvl 18 range I'm looking to lvl this guy to 70 so I'm asking about talents all thru lvling up. Ty

If you're leveling with a warrior, there's a few ways you can do it. You can go LOLSmite and he can be more Prot, or he can go more Arms/Fury and you can go more Holy. You can both also just go heavy DPS and nuke them before he needs heals, and just be ready to drop Shadow Form to throw a heal on your warrior if needed.
IMO, you should try to level in a spec that isn't that dissimilar from what you intend to spec at 70, because leveling is so fast these days that you get very little experience if you level with one spec and change to another at 70. WRONG! JK. Considering leveling can be solo'd currently, just having 2 people makes lvling trivially easy... might as well just both spec to kill things as fast as possible. Like you MB+dot, have him intercept, you mind flay, he pounds away... mob dead before it even gets to you.
Should I go disc because that's wat I WANT to do b/c I can do decent dps and healing while I'll have alot of emergency skills like inner focus and pain suppresion so we won't die much even if we pull a few adds. That would be a rly fun fight :) But here's my main question I'm goin disc proly so should he be fury or arms??
If your primary focus is on leveling, going deep enough into Discipline to get Pain Suppression isn't worth it. My favorite spec for leveling if you intend to go Holy at 70 is LOLSmite. With that spec, you can do almost as much damage as Shadow, but make a more viable healer. Going really deep Discipline reduces both your healing and damage for the sake of survivability. If you're planning on doing most of your leveling with someone else, that survivability will largely be wasted.
As for your warrior friend, if you intend to do a lot of questing, a tank isn't really necessary and, provided he has some tank gear, he can probably pull off the limited tanking in the tank set. If he intends to be a tank, and you intend to do a lot of leveling through instances, you'll have a much easier time putting groups together if all you need is DPS. Finding a tank, especially at lower levels, just isn't very easy. Beyond that, I can't really give much advice on warrior specs simply because I don't have one. You're much better off deciding on your spec and then reposting this question in the Warrior forum and seeing what they have to say about it.
I see wat u mean about wasted survivability going deep into disc. I'll take ur advice and try LOLsmite. Could u plz explain it to me and tells the build or if u done feel like wasting mor time helping me just tell me were to look it up :)
I looked on Internet and couldn't find a PVe LOLsmite build, only PCP. Could someone plz link me or tell me a PVe LOLsmite build and tell me some of the main strategys of it
Here's an LOLSmite Build: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bxT0zhxtbxoZfxt0bbVb
You have to remember, it's all about Crits, because crits are what will get you mana efficiency. You can adjust it to get 4% more hit on your smite (which you may need, depending on your gear) by getting rid of Divine Spirit and putting 2 points in focused power and probably the other point in Silent Resolve. For soloing or 5-man, stack Damage > Crit > Int > Spirit. Start a pull with Holy Fire, and use SW:P and SW:D. After that, just spam the hell out of Smite, just make sure you keep up SW:P and use SW:D every cooldown to maximize your DPS. If you're in a raid, you probably need some sort of mana battery as, even with the free smites, you're still lacking in mana regen. Otherwise, you can get with a ret-pally for the 10% holy damage aura and/or other crit boosers, like an Elemental Shaman or a Moonkin Druid. An ideal group would probably be Shadow Priest, Ret Pally, Elemental Shaman, and Moonkin Druid. Without any of those classes, when I have run around as LOLSmite, I easily managed to sustain 850-900 DPS with mostly Kara DPS gear. I imagine with my DPS set where it is now, I could push close to 1000. Who knows what LOLSmite could do if my DPS gear were up to my healing gear, and I had a group designed to support me.
is it ....fun?? Cus spamming smite doesnt sound like fun to me
is it ....fun?? Cus spamming smite doesnt sound like fun to me Is spamming Flash of Light fun for a pally? How about spamming Chain Heal for a Pally? Maybe spamming the BM Hunter macro is fun? Many DPSers I know perfect their spell rotations by simply laying it out across a set of hot keys, so they just go 1, 2, 3...8, 9, repeat; is that fun? Different classes and specs are fun to different people for different reasons. FWIW, when I've specced LOLSmite, I found it fun. Of course, I usually heal, so it may have just been that any change up was fun for variety's sake. Add Comment
