You don't need professions to get an epic mount.

I got both my land epic, and normal flying through quests alone, and didn't have any professions.

But damn is it annoying to run Deadmines over and over for linen.

Here's another one:

I was in Hellfire Citadel, and we had a pally tank. On the first mob, we CC one mob (leaving 1) and he goes up, and starts autoattacking.

And then that's all he ever did...autoattack...

No seals, no blessings, no Consecration (Yes I know one mob is CC'ed, but he can pull back). At least he had an aura...

Needless to say, our group disbanded very quickly

well i created a draenei shaman and without knowing about the totem situation i had my warlock friend summon me to elwynn forest. after i got to lvl 10 i realized that some of my spells required a special item(totems) so i then had a mage port me back to exodar to get them. after doing the quests i immediatley asked my friend to port me back to sw becasue i was too lazy to run there. as soon as he stopped yelling at me because he had just summoned me hours before and that he had to come all the way from plagueleands, he summoned me again. i thanked him and went on my way. as i was running i realized something i should have about 30 mins before. my hearthstone was already set to goldshire! i never told him that  and to this day not a soul knows except me... and now all of you
