My point was that 3.8 SoC proc chance is more than the 3.5, and that makes a big difference in pvp

Not sure why u keep talkin about how haste will affect DPS in a raid... How does a chance to proc a SoC affect total DPS done on an "endurance" fight such as raiding? I mean isnt SoC a PPM spell? Whether its a 1 sec spd wep or a 5 sec spd wep... it will still proc 7 times! The only time the 3% proc per swing will remotely matter is when u are in pvp. If u swing for 2k, have 1k hp left, ur opponent has 3k hp left, hits for 1.5k... this means that his next shot will kill u. UR next shot will NOT kill him, unless it procs a SoC. That extra 3% chance (from comparing 3.8 to 3.5 spd) is the ONLY thing dif in "dps". Why? Cuz the SPD IS NOT WHATS USED TO CALCULATE SOC DMG, ITS WEP DMG. I cant believe for a guy with the gear u have, u dont get it... Run a dmg meter and count how many SoC procs u get in 10 mins with ur SH. Then run it again with a faster wep, lets just say a 3.0 spd green wep. Will the amt of SoC procs change? If so, we're talking about something very minimal... and the reason for that is not about the spd of the wep, its the data sample size. Do the same thing for 1 hr with both weps, i will assure u that the procs will be even closer. So other than dmg done VIA SOC, how does it affect raid dps?
Heres a clear example for ya
3.8 spd wep dmg range 300-500
3.5 spd wep dmg range 300-500 (3.8 spd hasted to 3.5)
See how theyre both the same dmg range? This means that the SoC dmg WILL BE THE SAME.
You fight for 10 mins, u think the 3.8 spd will have more dmg done by SoC? Tell me ur logic on that... why cuz it has a 3% greater chance to proc, PER SWING? As my above calculations showed, when talkin about a long length of battle, the outcome for SoC procs will be the same... the only thing that may differ is the amt of dmg done by SoC itself... and THAT relies on wep dmg. So again, for further clarification, HASTE DOES NOT AFFECT UR DPS.
EDIT: ur right.. the only times it WILL affect ur dmg done in a raid setting is when YOU get one last swing. This means that lets the time table of 1 min to 5 min, u did 36 SoC procs. In the first second of the 6th min, the boss dies. This means that yes, you CAN have more dmg cuz u have that extra 3% chance to proc the SoC on THAT SWING. But my opinion still stands... over a long period of time, its very minor
