guys... i always hear 'shamans are OP' it takes 10 ppl to kill them and never mention druids? y is that???

im in bg a lot i got a lvl 69 balance druid and im 99% always on the top honorable kills and top damage and i always kill shamans easy and almost every class easy...


so why do ppl say shamans are OP and never talk about druids.. in a non biast way can someone of you tell me if druids are very OP or the most OP class if played well? i want an answer from a non-druid or at least someone who tried all classes and is not with druids always

currently resto specced druid is cried to be OP in arenas because of hteir awesome mobility and heals=survivability.

Never heard of shaman being OP, they are kinda crappy in pvp enviroment.

Not enhancement...My druid was 48? And he was doing AB... Had all these buffs on and I almost had 5k health(bear)....I think it was an enhancement shammy that killed me in half a second. Probably he was lucky or I was just playing bad that day... Still...thats some damn good luck he has.

Im a lock, and i hear that my class is OP over and OVER again, and i can easily tell you why a druid, nor any class is OP.
The druid healer is amazing in BGs, and even more so in Arena, the HoT + lifeblooms will keep his partner and him self with perfect HP.
but his lack of CC is a huge loss. all i have to do is fear him while a HoT isnt applied then nuke. Restro druids do not usualy have too much HP and a couple of my crits will be enough to bring him down. sure you can Entangle me but im a gnome :) escape artist....
the restro druid also has limited Offensive attacks. yes he can keep him self alive but his lack of damage will also keep his apponents alive. sure he could use wrath or moonfire, but he will soon run out of mana and have none left over to heal himself.
the poster above me already explained why Feral isnt too good unless your in very VERY good gear and know when and how to attack. Balance is well... a balance of the two... your trees are helpful, and you have a good arsenal of O attacks.

that being said, i LOVE druid healers, but they are in no way OP. within a few min. when they run out of mana they are dead.... drain mana can offten be their worst enemy, or mana burn.

gear makes a huge difference, in arena gear a lock is only going to have about 2k more health so its not that big of a deal, a druid in 1v1 (resto) is nigh unkillable, you really have to time your CD right and pray your pet(as a lock) dispells a hot whcih I believe puppy can, not sure though.  But resto is gonna be tough if they know what they are doing, makes MS warriors go ape shit when they don't win in pvp.  all they got going for them.

yeah mana kinda takes down druids but when u think about it... druids are the best mana efficient healers in the game. bear form will prevent a lot of dmg and surely prevent mana drains and burns.. so when u come to think of it we are op. including innervate which WILL save u in a sticky situation.

Yep druids are so OVERPOWERED that they pwn even the most leet geared players in aquatic form, btw you are welcome and im glad i checked out this importnant subject

No Class is Overpowered and No class is Underpowered.  Every class on any spec has its advantages and Disadvantages and until other players find out what it is they will forever claim that "Druid is Overpowered" or "lock is overpowered" and so forth.  Other people just need to learn how to play their Classes right.

no class is really OPed it all depends on how u play them.  any class can own another class if they play them right

Most people always say that hunters are teh best in pvp....and yes they are good...but certainly not the best. I have more trouble with mages then with hunters.
(pet is easy...hibernate does wonder...ice-tap...np..simply shift to other form)...easy enough as Feral.

My advice...if you think a class is OP...try making a character on it, and see where that takes you.
More likely then not you will notice that no class is really OP.

ur right no class is OP or UP its just the player...

for e.g there are 2 hunters i fought.. both fully geared i owned one and the other one almost got me killed, so thats what it is.

resto druids are HUGE pvpers, they DO say that balance is not much of a pvp than resto but if u got a healer on u... a balance druid is one of the best pvpers there is,


i went arena yesterday and my healer friend went afk and i had to fight both ppl fully geared with veng. i killed em both as aa balance druid. im not bragging but just saying dont underestimate a balance druid.

no classes are OP but shamans are pretty fuckin powerfull. My 56 enhance shammy can take down any class but warrs and paladins in a few seconds and balance druids kick ferals ass,

Enchance shamans are crap in 70 pvp, you will always be kited to death. TBH enchshaman is one of the most useless classes/specs in BG and arena even tho their dmg potential is among the best.

well they have 20% chance of dealing 10k dmg in a sec, otherwise druids can own them..
The 20% chance = windfury= 20% chance to do another two attks that ignore armor and hit for 600-800 AP each (w/o talents=650 , w/talents=750-850)... so if ur lucky he wont windfury CRIT you ^^

Druids rule! I am a lvl 48 druid and I can kill alot of high lvl hordes by myself.

hmm well i have a lvl 70 ne druid, im feral but have a tank, heal, and balence set as well. now i really dont have many other high lvl toons but im going to be as un bias as possible.  the only reason i can see why druids can be considered is b/c all classes can be "OP" if they are speced and geared right, druids have an advantage here b/c being versatile is our job so we can adapt to things much better then other classes

i.e.  rogue hits me i usually go bear to help mitigate the dps with armor. hit by mage i bear and charge. hunter, i cyclone or hibernate his pet. then feral charge him. lock, i dispel dots as it is cheaper to dispel then it is for them to cast, and as resto HoTs out heal DoTs. druids can be considered op b/c of our ability to adapt. but by becoming strong in one area we become weak in another.

my suggestion, read the forums for all classes and learn all their strengths and weaknesses and you can beat anyone

They (Druids) CAN be considered OP, just depends where and when.

2v2 Arena - Obviously they are OP
3v3 Arena - Sort of, not so much as 2v2
5v5 Arena - Not really, but not so underpowered as to be bad

Mind you the above are for Resto Druids; Feral and Balance nobody cares.

It's because they can CC you for a very long time yet are immune to loads of CCs themselves (read: snares and Poly). Also the stupid pillars that they run around all day.

Druids are not OP, it is just rock paper scissors. There are some toons they will always beat, and other they have weaknesses to. Try fighting my shadow priest as a resto druid. It will not be pretty my friend....but then, I get owned by other classes. It is balance.

Shamans still OP? they got nerfed so hard back 1.4 that there now quite broken.

Nothing is OP, at all. Resto druids have just taken the (really) old shaman title of 'really hard to kill'

Blizz nerfed bear tanking already, luckily they 'unngh' over the arena, resto druids should be safe.

Its funny you mention the shaman. I roll a 70 shaman and i heard that i was OP so much before arena. but once i started playin in the arena, it was the complete opposite. I had to really know everything about every class just to have a chance. Our extreme lack of CC and we are easily kited kills us. If we can attack we can put up huge numbers, but thats difficult to even start. I dont have a druid yet, but was considering starting one because i like hybrid classes so much.

Nto OP, but very close to it, the reason being, we can fill almost any role in the game as a single class without having to start a new toon. i have a 70 Boomkin and i've respecced a ton of times from feral, to resto, back to moonkin and so on. with all the extra + spell and healing, i can dish out a wicked amount of dmg and great DoT's, but my HoT are terrific as well.

That being said, idk wtf everyone's talking about when it comes to shaman... obviously you guys haven' had the chance to fight a real nicely geared shammy before, but they're as close to OP as druids are. why, cuz they can fill several roles in a party as well. take a loook at a youtube video of a shammy named Ycorp on the Proudmore server, then tell me about Shaman not being that great. this shammy basically drops one player after another the whole vid with spamming lightning and CL, hitting constantly for 4,5,& 6 crits, and plenty more that were much higher. Shaman are the best at dishing out the most dmg in the shortest time, but yeah, if you withstand that initial attack as a druid, then you'll probably own him after that.

And no, for anyone who say that locks are OP they're defintiely incorrect. a locks main ability is using his fear and DoT's correctly and using his pet to intercept. but even some of the strongest locks are not going to be able to drop someone who's well geared in 5 seconds flat like a shammy, or withstand a brutal beatdown like a resto druid can, and they certainly can't heal themselves or party members. if a lock just used fear and it's on cooldown, you can rush him and drive him into the ground without breaking a sweat.

most of what i'm saying comes from my experience not just as a druid, but also from having a fully geared hunter and rogue as well. locks hardly ever offer me problems, certainly not with my hunter because i can just use BW and not have to worry about fear, bam, the lock is toast. fighting a druid, maybe moonkin is the easiest form for me to take down with my hunter or rogue, but a good resto is nearly impossible to kill 1vs1, just too much of a mana pool and too many effective HoT's and DoT's. it's definitly more about the player than it is the class, but druids are as close to being, if not the best class, certainly in the top 2 as far as being OP. i know i know, its all about gear and the player which is true, but even an inexperienced resto is a huge pain in the a$$ in green gear, nevermind an s2 or s3 set.
