I'm sure i'm not the only one but was wondering If its worth staying prot until lvl 70. Would it be easier to go \retro instead?.I know its a general question but should I leave the tanking to the warriors?Anyway ,unless you know the group you were in i'd assume tanking as a pally isnt too smart. Also I dont feel like getting ganked as fast and a prot just doesnt deal a lot of dam quickly.right now I just enterered outlands. Did 2 quests. I do last long because of the xtra shield armor. Do retro pallies EVER use a shield..? Ok never was retro so anyone have a generic  intro attack? Thnx:)

Well if you are going to be Ret you are going to be using a 2handed weapon 99.99% of the time.... if you are about to die and your bubble is still recharging it might be a good idea to have a shield with you yes. Just do NOT under any circumstances EVER try to kill something with a 1handed weapon as RET, you will be called a noob for life

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm trying to keep you from humiliating yourself :)

RET - 2 handers
Prot - 1h n shield
Holy - 1h n shield

If you use anything other than whats mentioned above, whoever see's you will most likely /lol @ you.

As for your question on whether u should go "resto", its actually HOLY. Resto is for druids and shamans, not pallies n priests. But to answer ur question, do what you please. If you feel that ur tanking abilities suck (just asking, not saying u do suck at it), then maybe some other spec might be best for you. If ur ok at it and just need some work, keep on practicing in the lower instances and get ur knowledge and skill up about that spec. Everyone is a nub at some point, its just about how long u stay a nub. IF tanking is not ur thing, try out holy. Its still just as easy to find groups for instances, but does lack some dps for questing n such. W/e you choose, GL man

Technicalites... LOL.

But anyway, Ret IS easier to kill a mob. As most holy pallys have found out in the new area, Keeping mana is harder then it use to be(you have full mana then after fighting 1 mob your down to 50%... WTF!! Mana taping SoB's) But anyway, Ret is the easiest way to grind quests to 70. And lots of instances are not opposed to letting a ret pally in(If they are good enouph) You need to be able to hold your agro at a min and punch out the DPS required.

So as retpally27 said, Do what you want. Tank, Heal, or DPS. Its all up to you. And BTW, LOTS of instances are better with pally tanks. No CC needed WOOT!!!
