Wow i lost this ring to a warlock as well and he rolled on purpose. I later got him kicked from his guild and is now hated by a lot of people on my server. Sucks for him i guess...

    It's a HEALING RING. People don't pay $15 for some asshat to come along and roll on a HEALING RING, read it again - HEALING RING. A Warlock rolled on it, a DPS class, learn WoW before you speak out of your ass. Oh and how is he an asshole? The Warlock shouldn't be allowed to be in a guild if he's like that. IMO ~

        Funny thing it happened to me...
        
        Got whispered only for last boss fight and after wiping a bit because of lack of skill of dpsers mostly the magic ring drops. A Melee DPS shammy hit need without breaking a sweat (I'm holy priest). I roll 4 he gets the ring. Whispered him saying ninja and he answered he's respeccing resto (could be in three months as far as i know). Then I was on his ignore list. Spammed in Trade channel he was a ninja and ppl defended him!
        
        Healers should have priority on healing items, I dont need MGT heroic chest for my shadow offspec if some else's main specced needs it.

Droped from final boss....only equipment we kept from the instance but the gem of +22 heal that you get from the quest made this ring usable as a healer and the stam bonus was great. If your ring are green then this would be a must have item

Not bad healing ring. A warlock rolled need for this and won it over the healer. still laughing about that. This is not a caster ring. Healing only Duh

Yeah I also lost this to a warlock.
Everyone passed except me and the lock, I rolled need. I don't know why but the lock rolled need as well, both of his rings better for casting dps, and beat me by 5.

This ring can get up to 70 healing if you choose to put the gem from the quest into it. Pretty neat in my eyes as a healer. And if u got enchanting like i do there will be like 90+ healing on just a single ring! Gonna go this instance until i get this one. Will totaly be worth it

Yeah i lost this ring to a warlock aswell, do you think that the dumbness is common with all warlocks? Also a rogue and I (a resto shammy) pratically 2 maned this boss, took about 5 mins.

Very nice ring for a 5man fight when you add in +22 healing gem. It dropped for me once and a mage stole it! He can't even enchant. Death to Ailan from Moon Guard.

I'm going for this ring again.

Dropped in Reg Magister's a couple days ago.
The loot rules were, pass and decide who get's loot.
I needed when it dropped so I passed and another person who clearly didn't need rolled greed, then gave me shard afterwards. Heh.

This dropped for my priest yesterday. I was psyched about it having a socket so I popped in the +22 gem from the quest! There were no locks in my group, btw. =) Sorry for your loss guys. I've been ninjad by locks myself.

anyone knows if this thing drops in heroic mode too ?

Heh this ring dropped for me as well.... THE TANK needed it... but he felt bad and put in a petition and I should get it in a few days....

Just curious... what are some examples of healing rings that are better then this one and why???

Oh yes i picked this ring up from a normal run, and i also honoured it with my +22 healing gem. All in all a brilliant ring.
I mean having both int and stamina with a total of 70 healing makes it very powerful, and thats before you take a look at the haste. 14 spell haste is almost 1% at level 70 (lets assume it is 1% for a moment).

so assuming it affects your casting spells directly that would mean a 3 second cast would be brought down to being a 2.97 seconds cast, not a massive or impressive difference imo.

I think that haste is one of those stats that only becomes really useful if you stack alot of it, like armour ignore.

In alot of the current endgame content (BT/MH/SW) you start to see more spell haste drops, and i think if you are at this stage in the game as a healer then you can start to think about stacking it, before that i really dont see much of a point to it, especially since items with spell haste outside of these places are few and far between.

Now the main reason why i have decided to keep this ring in my bags and not one of my equip slots is that it doesnt have any mp5, and mp5 is king in my book for a holy paladin. Also the ring doesnt have any spirit which i know is what priests and druids need for their mana generation.
In the 10 man raids and all 25 mans you will start to see how useful mp5 is.
With my point of view on mp5 there are alot better rings out there that imo you can get quite easily if you are capable of killing kael'thas in normal.
I use http://thottbot.com/i29373 and also an identical ring which dropped from the headless horseman during last halloween.
If you take a quick look youll see in comparison to kharmaa's ring my band of halos has 7 more int, the same stamina (after socket bonus), 2 less healing and my fav - 6Mp5. But ofcourse it doesnt have a gem socket.
So ask yourself can a single gem socket contend vs 7int and 6mp5, and if you're anything like me you'll say no, there arent any gems that are that powerful.

So in short i think that Kharmaa's ring is very nice to have, but it can beat beat quite easily :)

  A pally's main healing comes from his constant FoL spam.
  Whether you're healing 5mans or 25man raids, at least 75% of your heals are FoL.
  
  This ring loses the 6mp5 found on the two rings you describe, but it gains (with a +18 gem) +16 healing - and most people still judge you by your +healing (sadly). Also, you gain 1% spell haste. Since since 2.4 this also reduces your global cooldown, this amounts DIRECTLY to a 1% healing increase. BAsically, you increase your "healing per second" by 1%. This allows you to spam FoL faster, and thus lessens the chance that you're forced to resort to your mana heavy - holy light (if the tank or whatever gets low).
  
  So overall, if you are a pally using badge/kara rings (unless its the ring from prince), this is a very worthwhile upgrade for you.

Dropped for me on my first kill of Kael. I didn't put my +22 Healing Gem in it though. I'll be running Kara soon and spotted some nice socketed gear tha'll probably be useful for my epic gem, but I did socket a +18 Healing gem in it.

To all those people who lost their rings to some idiot who rolled need and didn't really have any use for it... That is why you do NOT pug any instance, especially MgT. Partly your fault for getting a stupid group.

Does this ring have a different drop rate on normal then on HC?
I have been running this instance dry, and had no luck so far :/

the ring dropped for me yesterday and i went the instance(heroic) like 25 times to get it and now i had a paladin tank and a enchantment shammy and a mage that needed:S i was just so pissed on the ppl who need on a healing ring its not a fucking dps ring its healing!!!

i just hate it.. im holy priest

you dumbshits plus healing is made for HEALERS. any dps rolling on this over a healer is a dick.

still is the drop rate more on normal then on heroic?

i loled at the guy who runned heroic 25 times for this ring, if you read thottbot right, you can see that this item ONLY drops on normal mode. so for all you healers out there: don't waste your time on the hard heroic version, go normal instead.

also if you look at the heroic drops you can see the item levels are 125 and the epics that drop on normal mode are item level 110
so as you see the ring cannot and will not drop on heroic mode.

i hope this answered many of your questions about drop rates on normal and heroic mode.

hmm very interesting because I thought it only droped on normal mode, but then my atlas shows me that it can drop on both modes.
So the atlas must be wrong??

has anyone gotten this ring on hc mode? at all, to clear up the mystery? plz
