This set is merely Pre-PVP gear. You can successfully use this for BGing until you get your BG gear like Gladiators and stuff like that.

The rep isn't that hard to get and this is WAY better than quest reward gear.

Careful how you socket this set though. If you really are going to BG with it, you better have the cash for it.

While this set isn't quite as good as what you would do Battleground's for, it is much better then the normal quest reward armor and it allows the normal Gamer who doesn't have 200 hours to waste in Battleground's to purchase with Honored Rep!
The Resilience alone makes it worth going for and gives you at least a fighting chance against a BG geared enemy. Bad player with BG armor against good player with this armor equals a win for the person with this armor! Otherwise you wouldn't stand a chance with the quest reward armor.

I like this as arena starter gear if you haven't BG'd for the s1 stuff. I personally hate BGs as I always lose and it takes forever, and I'd rather be running instances.

I really love the equip on the gloves, which would really be the only piece of lvl 70 s1 I'd bother to get.

I also love its modeled after the assassination set.

Its basically the lvl 70 Grand Marshall gear except it looks different thats it.

So if you have green gear that is better then why didnt you tell us what it was.I would like to know what green armor is better than these gloves that stop spellcasting and have the resilience this set has.This set is for BG,so post what you THINK is better,because i say you are full of it.

Where do you get the gloves ofr this set if your are Alli, or if there is another version of this set that is Alli could somone plz tell me? THX~!

Gloves come from the quartermaster in honor hold.
Hood is the Cenarion Expedition quartermaster in Zanger
Pants are Sha'tar vendor
Tunic is lower city
Shoulders are from the Keepers of Time quartermaster in Caverns of Time.

I gained honored status with all the necessary factions just by leveling to 70.

At Lvl 70 this is a great PVP starter set.. Thanks Blizz, Finally i can say that without being sarcastic:P

I have the whole Opportunist's Battlegear and agree it's a great start without having to make yourself sick grinding hour's and hour's of honor just to get epic's:) I was wondering if there is a pair of boots avaliable that match the set visually? If anyone could steer me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated..

Boots of the Shifting Sand... they go perfect with assassination, they're pure black... and well, anything that's pure black goes great with anything that has a tinge of red :D
Opportunist is basically Assassination with color, so anything that matched Assassination will probably match Opportunist.

The Master's Treads look pretty good with the set.

remenids me of a time when you didnt see full epics in pvp :) not bad for new 70s but be careful in arena. your probably going to get torn apart. should use that to get glad gear then work into arena. Unless you dont mind loosing

Perfect for those new level 70's who want to get their feet wet with PvP. Gotta start somewhere eh? Going into WSG in full quest greens and blues with NO resilience is just awful. With these, you'll live about 30 seconds longer. ;)

Well I got this full set rdy for when i got to 70(was 69) and also got merciless gladiator rippers just so i have a weapon to help out and so far it has gone realy far to help in bgs than my 69 quest armror. seeing no use for having all 5 pieces i use deathblow x11 goggles. I have the mask in my bank atm and wanted your opinion on ewether i should go with x11 goggles or the mask

You'd get more resilience with the mask, but the goggles have amazing AP. You'd suffer a huge AP subtraction by equipping the mask, and to be honest I don't think that would be worth 20 or so resilience. Keep the goggles until you have the S2 helm.

the resilience is a good thing, but all the other stats spell CRAP.

on my rogue alt that just hit 70, i have better gear with just a few select quest items.

i say go into the bgs with your greens and ah blues and do your best. wont take long to get decent stuff if you WORK HARD FOR IT.

yes, working hard for things in wow, am i crazy or what.
