Now im not sure to be glad or mad at this new patch
the no cooldown is helpful if u can get both the arcane crystals and thorium bars but if u cant get them easy it sucks. it means that u have to buy them from the AH and now the arcane crystals that went for 3-4g now cost 7-12g, wtf.
Im mad at this and just was wondering if anyone didnt like this change as well.
I would like to hear peoples opinions on this subject
Thnx for posting in Advance :)
Totally agree with this post. By eliminating the cooldown they have effectively lowered the cost for Arcanite by increasing the supply in the AH. Everyone is undercutting the prices to sell it off quickly. The prices of everything else (thorium bars and arcane crystals) have gone up or stayed the same meaning you can only make a few gold on each sale at these prices. Sucks as far as i'm concerned.
Its clear to me that Blizzard doesn't understand the supply and demand problem they created. If you do this, then you gotta make it even and lower the cost for enchanting supplies too...
They are aware. I have been getting rich selling arcanite for 14-16g with mats running about 3 gold. Now the crystals are selling for 14g on my server. I will put them up this weekend and if any needs arcanite they can come to me with mats for 5g a pop. if any alchemists are foolish enough to buy mats and put bars up in ah .... good luck!
I don't know about the rest of your alchemists, but I am keeping my Arcanite bars in safe keeping until the new expansion. Remember, Lich King is back in Azeroth! Will Blizz go back and use old item to create new items. Arcanite tablets for scribes??? Multi color dragonscale recipes for Lwer's for increased resistances in Northrend. Blizz does things for a reason. Check the alch table, it is already showing new skill levels. Think of tomorrows greed, not the quick buck now. Welcome back to the old dimension, I will be laughing when I sell my Arcanite for BIG bucks, mark my words.
Bizzard, unfortunatly, most likely WILL NOT make arcanite a big deal in WotLK. Very few pre-BC items where used in 300+ skills. If they did make arcanite a big thing in WotLK I would be shocked.
