I have a level 41 hunter and have an engineering skill at 185 and mining at 190. I forget a lot that. I sometimes get to many quests going that I forget to work on my professions. I was considering switching over to skinning and leather working. I was wondering if this was a good idea and also what would be a good area to start off as I know you have to build up the skill before you can get into the big stuff?? Thank you!!!

I would suggest sticking it out if you are that far into engineering,however if you did change to Skinning/LW I can tell you this.LW is very good for a hunter you would go Dragonscale and get a wicked BOP set for yourself at375LW.Also skinning is the easiest gathering proff. to level in the game.You would go back to where you started the game not sure if you are Horde or alliance.Then you kill the beasts and skin them.Focus more on beasts than Humanoid mobs while questing.You will kill the beasts so fast that you will prob level skinning up to your current level in a matter of 1-2 hours.Good luck and have fun!

ok cool i see what your saying about being that far into them. I think i want to change because im just not having any fun with them. I am a dwarve to by the way so dun morogh would that be a good place to start skinning?

Unfortunately brianc I am on the Horde side so im not sure about Dun moro.However I can tell you this you want to start skinning at where you started the game or close to it.Any beast that you kill and it is yellow or Orange will give you skill ups almost every time in the real low levels the higher your skinning level the more beasts you have to skin to get one level.However skinning is the fastest proff to level and a very profitable one at that.So do what makes the game funner for you,I have heard that engineering can be alot of fun at a little higher levels.You can make a Mechanichal squirrel and sick it on your enemy,you will be able to make bombs and some shoes that are like rocket launchers very good for Battlegrounds.Anyways good luck and have fun.

also, eventually u will get it way past ur level cuz its incredibly easy to lvl
