Im at level 65 and decided to pick up that old pole i had laying around since it told me i couldnt fish at the outlands.  After i did the skill level 225 fishing quest for Pat Nagle in Duskwallow Swamp in Theramore I started again fishing but noticed it was taking 6 to 8 or so fish to increase each point of skill.  Where do fish to get better credit points to my skill level?  Ive tried areas like Western Plague Lands and feralas (I figured if fishing goes along the leveling as my Character does then these are the level'd areas that i probably left off fishing at), but it's taking too many fish at these areas to get my skill up and I dont remember where i was when i stopped fishing. So anyone have an idea where the higher level areas are just under the Outland level areas?

i don't think it matters where you fish as to how many casts it takes to level, but i think the region levels are the same for fishing as they are for fighting.  the higher the region, the higher the experience needed.  fishing regions just under the outland should be the regions with level 50-60 mobs.

I leveled fishing to 375 in tradesmen terrace.
Matters NOT what you catch, but that you DO
catch.  It is the number of fish.
Early stages it might take 2-3 catches to get a
point, later may take 9 plus, but you can level
from 1-375 in any major city, as long as you have
water.
HINT.  Turn up your speakers so you can do something
like watch the tube while you fish. You'll hear when the
fish takes the line and then just click.
Things go much faster.
Having to watch the bobber can make you nuts.
