Hi, I have not a very low level(63) ret pally! But I have a feeling I'm playing it wrong... Could someone tell me what are the best seals, auras, blessings to use and in what order...

How I play: I use devotion aura, righteous fury and the blessing of might all the time.To hit I use seal a crusader when mob is low hp I judge it and use hammer of wrath... Please don't laugh loud and help me! :)

Devo? Righteous fury? NO!!!

Im not going to bash you at all but your a little mixed up. ALWAYS use sanctity aura... Never devo. Judge command on them to start off with and put SoC on. Use crusader strike whenever you can. You can scroll down on the forums and see other people with the same questions. It is a lot harder for me to typw out what to do. BUT NEVER USE DEVO AURA. Tanks dont even use it.

Yea it seems like you are also spec'd wrong. If you failed to mention CS (Crusader Strike), then you are either a total nub or havnt picked up the 41 talent in the Ret tree... in which case, you default back to the first choice. As Kevin already mentioned, devo aura is almost completely useless. I dont think anyone uses it unless theyre a low lvl and dont have any other auras to use. Just go respec if u need, and use BoM, Sanct Aura, SoC and CS and you'll be fine.

As for Righeous fury, this is a tanking talent. Its sole purpose is to draw aggro and reduce dmg. At that lvl, you should not be worry about the dmg reduction as much as ur dmg output. The faster u kill things equal the fast u gain xp. Later on, if you get into pvp, the imp RF is nice. I use a 0/18/43 build with 3/3 in imp RF for the 6% dmg reduction. If ur a pve'er, u shud never use RF unless u are by urself or respec to prot.

Ye I'm a total noob I admit that, paladin was the first class with what I started playing wow, my friends cant help me with advices, because they haven't played with paladin too. But it seems that I've joust wasted your time with my questions because i don't play on the official server, but in a blizzlike one and here is my problem: I'm a blood elf paladin and by the trainer I can't find where to learn aura named  Sanicity or smthn, SoC (Seal of Command) is red for upgrade2 it says it requires upgrade1 to learn, but I cant find upgrade either. But I can't believe that the server so f*ck*d up, It has many palladins and I haven't heard anyone having my problem. Now I start to think: am I stupid or palladin in this server are useless!!?? So sorry for your time wastment... I don't know what to do now! :(

If seal of command is "red" to you and you cant learn it, then you have not put points into your tallent tree... Link your name and server and we might be able to help.

Do you play on a test server? Bootleg version? I knew a few ppl that played for free but only for short periods of time b4 they were erased. Im assuming ur case is the same?

Yea like Kevin said, you have to be RET to get the 2 (SoC and sanct aura). Put pts into both and ull be able to train it. W/o either of those 2, ur not really a "ret" pally.

Wow thank you!! You really saved me, I was so set up because I spent 2 months to get to lvl63, and I have no fun train another character yet. I joust didn't know I have to put points in talents to have SoC and San aura.

Server in what I play runs about a year and is good, no test or smthn. And its version is updated often(2.3.3 now).

the new version is 2.4.1... how do you still play on 2.3?

at 70, SoCrusader, JoC, SoCommand, crusader strikes when ever you can ne time of the fight, Repetance (heal if need to, i also say Rep first cause if they Insignia then your stun will help out much more) JoCommand you should try to SoC when they are stuned or repetanced. Thats mainly it, but much more to it... like either Avenging Wrath (i like to AW after i hit my 3 vengances buffs for max damage) for more dps if you think you can take them, or Bubble to out survive them, blessing of freedom to free yourself of moving imparing effects, Cleansing for dots and wat not. the rest depends on who you fight, wat class you fight, and really how they and you play. this is more pvp/dueling, i switched to holy for raids, but i want to go retri :P

P.S to all the BE pallys Seal of command>Seal of blood, Why help them kill you? for consistant damamge you say? understood while grinding and certain raids, but PVP Seal of Command can give you the burst damage that can completely turn the tide of a fight

Devotion aura is not useless! I used it once, when i was doing the Ogri'la crystal attunement quest and a mob attacked me... So instead of quitting my fine job of following the crystals order, I put on Devotion aura and allowed the mob to hit me while I continued attuning to the crystals.. I attacked the mob afterwards!

I'm not sure whether I do it right or not, but what i do is have sanctity aura on, then I use seal of the crusader and judge it right away, then turn on seal of blood and judge that and use crusader strike whenever i can. Whether its right or wrong, it seems to work for me alright.

Everyone lissen: Seal of the Crusader gives around 2x the normal dps. Always use it! I got a 35 ret pally and he uses Grim Reaper with seal the crusader, and guess? not twinked, no enchants/enhancements and i crit 700! without seal i crit like crap. Also 40% faster attks.. USE IT! SEAL OF COMMAND SUCKS!

Dude anyguy u r a noob, everyone knows that u judge SOCrusader and then chuck on SOCommand for the boost of holy dmg u dont keep SOCrusader on u pleb lol :)

as much as SoComm is fun and what not, there is no way to increase that chance of uber crit.  Putting 5 SoC into holy will help u deal that extra bit of dmg- constantly.
