I'm 13..Yes a real shocker, I know. I agree with Roflroflpoot, this game was made for teens and yet adults think it was made more for them. I was in AV once(54 druid) and someone commented that "An hour ago we were creaming the horde in AV but now since the kids came back from school were losing." I was Pissed..But I said nothing(Yeah I know I'm so mature :P). My point is that most adults(no offence) think of us as little kids... And I think that is completely stupid...

I would like to point out that the game was rated ESRB Teen which doesn't mean it is meant to be played by ONLY teens. A RATING, if you don't already know is calculated on the most acceptable generalized point of view of the game content. Violence without blood is considered a 'teen' rating. The game itself does not contain blatant nudity, sex, and vast amounts of violence with blood which would be rated Mature or 18+. So with that said and out of the way, a game like Maple Story IS made and directed at pre-teens and teenagers. For example, I have worked in the high tech industry as well as the gaming industry, before anything goes into production, our team think up the biggest age range the game is directed to mainly, EVEN if the ESRB rating may be "Rated Teen". A game could be mainly directly at the age 16 to 35 range and still have the T rating, but you will still find 8 to 15 year olds play the game. Like the law on age minimum requirements for alcohol, porn, and driving, game and movie ratings are based on a general maturity level and does not cater to the individual. WoW is a game directed at paying members - older teenagers and adults who have a job pay to play the game. If you want a game that truly caters to teens, I suggest you go play Maple Story, where the game IS directed to pre-teens and teenagers, more so than adults. Like EVE Online, the rating for that game is TEEN, but fortunately, most of the impatient, inconsiderate, and immature teenagers that play that game usually stop altogether after a week or two. Which leaves the older teens and adults to enjoy the game more. I learned "please" and "thank you" at age 5 and actually mean it. I felt dumb playing with kids who only knows the world inside a game and nothing about the world outside. I play WoW as a very short 'vacation' from the harshness of the real life world. It's a game to entertain and to pass time. Kids seriously will never know and understand that until they get out of high school or if they already live a harder life. We pay to play the game. Are you paying for yours? We paid to use the computer. Did you buy your computer with your own money? Don't count allowances your parents gave you as money you've earned. You have not earned anything until you've worked for it. So in fact, World of Warcraft are directed towards people who pay to play the game. Thank your parents and your brothers and sisters who give you their credit cards, PayPal, and game cards so you can play WoW. Of course, some adults are just as bad or worst, but so far in my more than three years playing WoW, more kids have killed the enjoyment of the game than adults. Remember, just because the game has a ESRB rating of Teen, doesn't mean the game was mainly directed at the teenage gamer. The rating is meant as a maturity level of content inside the game.
