you can be any spec for pvp, resto is of course the most overpowered if you have a partner, also you can just go resto and get a high rating in arena and get vengeful gear for every spec.

Feral does very well despite what people say, just focus on increasing your attack power if you decide to take that spec, but you will be destroyed by shadow priests and it will take you forever to kill healers, but you always will. if played right, meaning you don't just chase people around, forgetting that you can root, cyclone and heal yourself/team, you will definitely do well. Try to focus on gear that has more armor, not just the rogue stuff, it's not good enough for us :P

As balance you can sit back and rape from far with massive dmg, but you will do poorly if a rogue/war/sham/feral get you up close, but it's not too much of a prob if you're geared.
Mages, warlocks, shadow priest, and elemental shamans too with totems and shocks will also be a big problem.

Been Feral specced from start currently lvl 70 have 4/5 season 1 set idol of terror Glad maul and accessoires from Kara always top PvP kills only find good specced warriors a pain to bring down and shadow priests are useless if you get pounce in to start let off and your a gonna all depends on your dualing try homing your skills in populated PvP/Dualing areas outside IF/SW ect but if you wanna do damage stick with feral i crit 1700+ with mangle + 5200 ferocious bite and this is with basic epics!

The problem is that ferals rely too hard on crits, which do not happen alot due resilience

I find that you sort of have a role if you are pvp'ing. Knowing your limits is huge. You are probably not going to take down that holy paladin, or that resto shaman, but harassing them and making them heal themselves rather than their party is an ideal job for ferals. I can pretty much take down any mage or priest if I get the first shot in, no problem. I tend to stay away from locks if I am alone, as they are pretty much the best 1 on 1 class in the game. We also make awesome flag guardians.

In short: Harass healers, kill the clothies, guard flags (ninja them too)

I PvP feral, and its not so bad. The thing ferals totally blow at though is arena. No CC, no spell interrupts.. Also, ferals have HUGE trouble taking out healers, they just heal despite the fact your pounding at them with all your might. With no way to stop their healing, it makes people look down on you. I can beat ANY class not specced to heal very quickly. Im 3/5 veng and 2/5 S1. I did somewhat decent in arena (got almost 1600 once.. pathetic but for a feral, not so bad) If you wanna bitch slap low rating arenas i suggest going resto though, you can be blue/green and get a god damned 1800 rating with almost no effort, because they're the most sought after healer. Balance is interesting.. You pwn mostly melee, mages will probably nuke the crap out of you, you may be able to beat a lock, a spriest will be destroyed by your might.. anyways, balance is popular in arena as well. Pretty much the lesson here is, go resto or balance at 70 unless your totally in love with feral (like me), even though you will most liekly have a lot of problems getting anything better than s1/vindicators stuff.

So true.

I recently switched servers and my friend on that server has an established arena team with a half decent rating ~1700ish. (My team was usually hanging around the 1400-1500 rating) He invited me to play a few games with him. I dont think I had 1 second where I wasn't cc'd. The worst game was against resto druid and hunter. Normally I tear through hunters, but this is how the match went for me:
cycloned
scare beast
freezing trap
scattershot
hibernated
cycloned
scare beast
freezing trap
scattershot
hibernated
cycloned
scare beast
freezing trap
scattershot
hibernated

etc.

It was especially fun when getting scared into a freezing trap and then getting cycloned while in it, then getting scared as I was coming out of it. Extremely frustrating to say the least.
