if i get jewlcrafting, wat is the other profession i should get? i.e. skinning and leatherworking.

Mining. period. no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Unless of course you are creating a new toon that has full financial support from a different toon. Just my opinion.

I picked up JC after dropping Tailoring on a skinning/tailoring toon, and leveled it to 350 without mining. I bought mats from the AH intelligently, but even so I was only able to break even. I dropped skinning and levelled mining to 375 once I realized that it would be impossible to make a profit from JC alone.

Go mining.
