I've got a high level shammy, and whenever I go on riads I am always the only shammy. Only once in the last 2 weeks has there been another one. And everytime people treat me like I don't desrve to be there, because Im not resto. Rogues never thank me for Windfury Totem, which helps them out A TON.

It's the same way with instances. I got a 70 enh shammy that can beat any warrior,mage,palladin,preist,lock and most hunters. but yet you never see anyone looking for a shammy for raids,instance or arena. I don't get it. Great DPS, healing, totems, and yet we are like bastard children.WTF
are you horde or ally? on my sever shammies on alliance are the most needed class in raids. I myself <3 ele shammys. :)
there is no way you can out dps all of those classes, its just not gonna happen... however, imo, shammies are VERY useful, totems rock shit
Nah I agree with shammyrulz my 70 ele shaman pretty much out dps's any class in raids, although in doing so Im right on the edge of pulling pretty much all the time
Shammies are just not masters of anything they can do, yes I have seen them out dps but without any form of cc makes it worthless. They can heal, but for only a small period of time.
Couldn't you argue that crowd control is not an issue for shamen as long as you have others in the group that ARE good at it?
Nor have I ever had a problem in the healing capacity as long as others stick to their roles. My elemental Shammy has had success as the primary healer except when foolhardy rogues decide that they should play tank. But of course, I am much more effective when I can be the seconday healer.
Mana issues? In my experience when I didn't have to be the only healer I've had less mana issues than other classes. But I admit that since lvl 55 or so, solo play has used an insane amount of mana to dispatch mobs quickly. I've finally had to slow down and take frequent drinking breaks. Never had to in the 1st 50 levels. I've drank mana potions less than 20 times.
Please don't consider any of this boasting. I do not consider myself more than an average player, at best. I'm not anything near an expert in totemcraft.
