Horde has the better hunter races.

I have both an Alliance and Horde Hunter. And I have to agree, Horde is the best way to go. Orc Horde Hunter FTW.

Dwarf hunters are pretty cool.
The bonus to guns is nice.

Trolls are the best race for endgame. Orcs are better for leveling. But due to the fact that trolls have 2 rapid fires and improved bow skills and also improved regeneration makes them better for arena and raids.

Blood Elf,...well, they suck as hunters compared to all the other races. i guess mana tap could be useful against a pally. they do have a lot of mana though.

Night Elf, have a stealth...witch is only good when your pet is dead and u want to hide in PvE

the difference between an ally hunter and horde hunter is like the difference between a big mac and a burger u made ur self. they are both good but the backyard burger won't give you gastritis.

ne stealth only useful fro dead pets? ever heard of prowl?

FOR THE HORDE. really, the horde, as far a hunters go, are far superior in all fields, better pets, better raids, better instances. and as the comment above pointed out, look at what you want your hunter to do, and choose a race to match. i have a 70 hunter tauren. would never defect to the alliance...

i don't know, i have a 68 NE hunter but i rarely use shadowmeld, except when my pets dead

i have a raptor so i cant have em stealth with me

i would think that horde hunters are better because of the racial increases for horde with the orcs

Horde, all the way. I'm always PvP and the horde hunters are brutal, consistently topping the damage charts and kills. I wanted a hunter and chose to go Belf over troll and orc, passing on the racial pluses. Even without these pluses, I'm one of the heaviest hitters for my bracket and wrack up the kills like no one believes. If there is an orc or troll hunter(s) with my pvp group, forget it, its all over but the freetos. We can slam the allies, no matter how many hunters they have.

Although NE rogues suck to deal with, I'll definetly give the allies that. lol

Got Tauren hunter, not that good of class but the health boost and stun stomp sure is usefull. aspecially the stomp, just stomp run away lay trap and shoot till they die:)

the only downside to being a horde hunter is when gnome rogues use backstab but they really stab you right behind the knee

and they said bloodelf hunters sucks... hey i have a 70 blood hunter man.. and it rocks, never gets out of mana and shoots a .5sec cast + .5sec cd = 1arow/sec + stings + arcane shot/5sec + silence + multi ++ (ntm trinklets and other bonuses)...

really, blood hunters are not made to be inferior to other races, just have to learn how to use them :) its not always brute dps man.. when i was 48, i killed (50)pally + (46)warrior alone...

then you're not using the shadowmeld to your benefit at all. get rid of your raptor, get a cat that can prowl or just retrain a cat that you have. put both of yourselves in stealth and sit by a flag. put your cat on prowl, set him to attack mode. the second a horde approaches, your cat will prowl up and jump him. getting that first hit or two against the opposing hunters is huge. i'm a Ne huntermyself, and while the horde have better racials for hunting in general, i'd take my night elf any day of the week. just for the simple fact that i can get an extra two or three shots off right off the bat without the opposing player having a chance to respond makes up for any racial advantages that an orc or tauren(5% health) has. plus, NE have better resistance to nature dmg.

I got a 70 BE hunter and he in nooooo way sucks. What just because they don't have a little extra boost makes them bad? Give me a break. Obviously if the race can be a hunter then it can't be bad or Blizz wouldn't give that race the ability to be that class.

Mana Tap, we do run oom very often dont we? thought so.
Arcane Torrent, we win it back and we silence all enemies around us for 2 secs, silencing shot rank 0.5.

Well, depends on game style. For those that like cloak and dagger *cough* rouges *cough*, then Night Elf hunters are the way to go, having a cat with prowl, and then you stealth can make for an interesting imagination of what the other guys face has contorted itself into when he is getting nailed in the back with arrows/bullets from an area that he thought was safe.

Dwarfs have a nice gun bonus (makes for hitting slightly better with a gun for a ranged weapon), stone form (gets rid of poisons, and other unwanted side effects), and even find treasure (getting a trunk with a rare item and selling it for outrageous amounts for huge gain). Plus, small size makes for hard mouse targeting.

Humans, well extra spirit and a bonus to swords is nice (too bad we can't use maces, or I would add that in too). The extra Rep. isn't bad for endgame either.


Dren, healing is great, makes downtime lessen. Sorry, don't know much about you guys.

On the other hand, for brute force, Orcs have a lead, ALL of our racial talents can help us out, our resistance to fear, stun, and (daze?), increase in expertise in axes, extra pet damage, and especially Blood Fury (yes, this does affect our ranged DPS).



Trolls, having 2 speed boosters makes you a casters nightmare, add in health regeneration, increase damage against beasts, and increase in throwing and (bows?), you can't go wrong.

Blood Elves, blanket resistance, mana drains (viper and mana tap) make you a formidable enemy for caster attrition, and the ability to silence means that if casters do get in your dead zone (almost impossible), they won't be hitting you with anything more than their wand for a little bit.


Taurens, increase health, plus a short range stun is great for pesky rouges or any melee class that gets too close for comfort.
