Hands down, Scorpids are the best pet in the game in my opinion. I hear from people about eh DPS of a cat versus the scorpids, but when you add the DPS of the scorpid, add in the fact that their poison stacks and ultimately will inflict up to 55 damage every 2 seconds in addition to their normal DPS, they defintiely outweigh a cat or ravager. Now add in the fact that their armor is better, and that means you'll spend less mana healing your pet against say, a high level elite, and you can spend more time attacking and using that mana towards arcane shots or stings. and the person before me is right, they work great against rogues cause the poison doesn't allow the rogues to stealth back out of sight right away. of course, most rogues can pawn a hunter in about 5 seconds flat, but a good hunter can use scatter, concussive shots, etc to slow a rogue down enough to get some distance.

Definitely highly recommended, i'm a 70 NE hunter, have had almost every pet their is, and i'll take my scorpid any day of the week. although, not having dash does suck, but i'm willing to overlook that cause they do such a great job.
