help, i have a lvl 48 priest, and just upgraded every thing, and in my spell book it says that it increases stamina by 55, plus i have improved 30% power word fortitude in my talents, but yet when cast it on me or other ppl it only says it has added 43 stamina... but then i do the math and it adds 550 hp to me, but where is my extra 30%...??? does any one know the reason for this?

For what is worth, I have noticed something similar:

When I hover in my toolbar over the PW:S icon, it gives me a different number than the one when I hover over a player's buff icon (or mine).

I often wondered whether the PW:S talent upgrade only applies to myself, or just anybody with the buff.
Any ideas ?

P.S.: I should be careful who you call idiot, BigFatLoser. You're in danger of becoming one yourself with that attitude.

Edit oops, I just realised I meant PW:F (Power Word: Fortitude (the Stamina buff), of course.

Noprmally, when you get improved spells, your toolbars will update automatically. If not, you have to drag them by hand form your spellbook and replace them.

The spells (e.g. PW:S) will cast on others the same as on yourself. It might be that the tooltip does not show the right spell (are you using specific addons?).

That's what I understood to be the case, yes. And no, I'm not using specific Addons that might affect them, I don't think.

I am at the office at the moment. Will get back with specific examples of what I mean tomorrow, very likely.

The tool tip is showing wrong, but if you look at your charater sheet it should be working properly. At least thats whats happening with me.

same thing with my 70 mage, Imp Mana Sheild does same thing

Anyone can see that a person intelligent enough to work out the percentage math is also intelligent enough to have tried the obvious first too.

It is a well known fact that for the longest time tooltips of spells have never been correct after you use talent points to increase the stats... this isn't news so dont worry about it, it says you buffed someone with 43 but it really is 55 the number just hasn't changed. It's just a tiny mistake that blizzard hasn't fixed for the longest time

Well if u are disc u get inpowerd Power word :fortude or summin so i think the additional stanima only applies to u

No, the buff from Imp Fort applies to everyone.  However, the tool tip just doesn't reflect it.  However, this is true for any buff out there that benefits from talents, like Mark of the Wild, various Paladin Blessings, and also Divine Spirit (doesn't show the Spell Damage buff).

What can I say, Blizzard is lazy.
