one of my friends (doesnt have a mage at all) tried to tell me that fire is for noobs who cant lvl properly.
i think though that fire is slightly harder because u cant just pull 10 guys frost nova them then blizzard them oh and summon a water elemental.
me i am part fire and part frost because i find it real fast to lvl

ive been both fire and frost myself,

fire would be like this.

Pyroblast > Fireball > Scorch > Frost nova > Fireball = Dead

while frost, is kinda more lazy (but fun =))

Frostbolt > Frostbolt > Frostbolt> Frost nova > Frostbolt = dead

As you can see ladies and gentlemen, I am adamanant that frost is VASTLY better than fire. Pownt n|_|bs lol go Q.Q in your baby beds.

Frost has some pretty amazing abilities. Although all mages have the frost nova ability, on those specced in frost have the chance of freezing a target in place with a frostbolt. Then there's the increased chance of crits when they're frozen in place. Frost is more controlled than fire. You slow enemies and keep them in place where you need to.

Comparable defense mechanisms between fire and frost are fire's blazing speed and frosts ice barrier. Ice barrier brings out the tank in me: a frost mage can put on ice barrier, stand in place and stick it out in a 1:1 PvE (read: not PvP) fight like a tank; a fire mage, when hit by an enemy, has a chance of increasing their speed by 50% to run away from the same fight. Ice barrier also only uses mana on cast; there's no mana cost for absorbing damage. Cold snap is a good ability paired with this. PvP players will lay waste to your shield, but with cold snap you can cast it again if it's down before it's cooldown is up.

I'm also a fan of the improved blizzard. It slows enemys speed by 75% and has a chance of freezing them in place when it's maxed. It's quite a show when you gather 20-30 mobs, nova them in place and lay waste with two or three blizzards.

Fire,as the question is which is more for n00bs,i say frost is the best,but that wastnt the question....fire is my reply :)

id have to agree with the last post, "fire or frost..which is more fo n00bs" was the origional question, so id have to say that frost IS more fo noobs, because the simple fact that all they do is use frostbolt, even being one myself, i can still consider it that i have no skill, just i use lotsa frostbolts. =)

fire is much harder on the other hand, like i have previously posted that you were to use pyro, fireball, scorch, frost nova, fireball scorch, but frost is far 2 easy 2 play =) thats why i play it
