Hi. I tried to check in other posts but i've found people with my same problem but no answer for solving it. I'm a noob rogue. I'm level 28 and i've a problem with lockpicking. I try to use the "spell" lockpicking on a practice chest for lockpicking. I see the animation of the chest that seems to be open but if i try to click it says "item locked" and then my character stays crouched and i've to logout for being again normal. I've already trained all things i could train (lockpicking too). I've the thieve's tool in my backpack. I click on the lockpicking spell's symbol and then on the chest. I see the bar of Pick Lock that goes on green... and then i see the chest opening. The skill doesn't raise up. It's always 1/140. Am i doing something wrong? What do i miss?

Another thing, i'm trying to do some rogue's quests. It seems to me like if i weren't a rogue 'cause for example in this quest: http://thottbot.com/q2238 it says that when i reach the top of the "tower" ... i should have to find a npc in stealth. I tried many times... but i cannot find anyone in stealth there. Is it possible that i've to do something for being a "rogue"?

I know i'm noob and maybe they are noob questions... but i cannot really understand what's happen.

First off the item lvl Locked box you are opening is too high id say,and you need thieves tools to unlock these boxes,you get these tools from a shady dealer or poisons vendor,also i think theives tools are in a few different places to be bought now,
secondly,
you need to be in stealth to pick pocket the npc,i dont believe he is stealthed,the mission states you have to be stealthed to complete it,if it is what i think it is,then you have to pick pocket the little dude in stealth.

If your trying to open a a locked box that is just laying on the ground you only need to get close enough so that when you mouse over the box the little wheel like pointer turns to gold. then just left click DO NOT click on lock picking icon first that is only for locked items in your bags or trade window  As for the poison quest p/pocket the goblin at the base of the tower in the little shelter

Thanks for your help. Now i've been able to pickpocket many boxes from mobs and i reached 81/180 skill level. So i'm able to open lockpick boxes i've in my backpack. The problem is with chest that are on the ground. For example in alther's mill. ( http://www.wowwiki.com/Lockpicking#1_to_170 ) i've read that i should have to open those practice box. Instead if i left click when the pointer becomes gold... nothing happens. If i right click, i see the animation of the opening of the box but then it goes on saying "item is locked" and then my pg rest crouched and i've to logout for coming back to the normality. I can't understand what i'm doing wrong.
