Ok info I left out before, Im on a European English server my guild is progressing nicely and is currently raiding Kara.
A concern I have is that im relying too much on my mana pool/Crit vs +Heal and if im heading in the right direction with my mana regeneration rate.
And finally is my Bonus heal sufficient or should I be thinking more to the 1700-1800 bracket?
Hope this sheds some light on my post IZBadAzz any advice or guidance would be welcomed
Well, that would be why I couldn't find you. I was looking on the US armory.
As for Crit, it is not something you should be concerned with at all. It is nice for keeping up Inspiration, but between the crit you get from Intellect and Buffs allong with Holy Specialization, that's plenty to keep it up. Other than that, because Priests rely heavily on big heals, Crits will, more often than not, result in overhealing. When I evaluate gear, I completely ignore Crit. In fact, the only piece of gear you may be interested are the Bracers you have, and even ignoring Crit, they're better than anything you can get before SSC, and even then it's close.
As for mana pool, this is a bit more complicated. You can get mana from either having it initially (lots of Int), or from regening it (through Spirit, MP5, and as of 2.4 some from Int as well). Once you get to around 10k Mana, very seldom is your initial pool much of a factor except on short fights (like trash pulls). As such, from this point on, you should start paying more attention to mana regen rather than intellect.
And while we're on it, Priests are ALL about mana regen. Druids have mana efficient HoTs and can benefit from some downtime inbetween reapplying them. Pallies get MP5 and gain efficiency from crits. Shamans have totems and Chain Heal is one of the best HPM spells in the game if it hits all it's targets effectively. Priests, OTOH, have generally less efficient heals and rely heavily on Spirit, post-2.4 MP5 is pretty much a thing of the past. Looking at your mana regen, you seem to be very MP5 heavy because the ratio of not-casting to casting regen is relatively low (mine, unbuffed, is around 800:270, and buffed is around 1000:400 wtihout consumables, yours is 423:223 unbuffed). With the massive buff to spirit, you should start focusing more on Spirit gear and learn about pre-casting and cast/cancelling (I've mentioned it in other threads).
Finally, +Healing is also very important. In fact, +Healing and mana regen are the only two stats that really matter to priests (beyond the minimum amount of stam and somewhat on an initial pool). The great thing about priests is that these two stats are almost interchangable since, if you happen to have too much of one and not enough of the other, you can adjust by downranking to trade Healing for mana regen, or upranking to trade mana regen for Healing.
For being in Kara, your +Healing is fairly decent. You should be able to clear it by the time you reach 1600-1700, and you should have about 1850ish by the time you're fully Kara geared; if you count all the badge gear you'll get along the way, that could be as high as 2000. For your mana regen, that's about where mine was at my current gear prior to 2.4, so that's more than enough for Karazhan, but with some re-itemization, you can get it much better pretty quickly.
I also noticed you had a lot of Intellect enchants. I would definitely trade those for different enchants. Here's the enchants I would use per slot:
Head: Honor Hold or Thrallmar Revered enchant (VERY good)
Shoulder: Aldor Exalted enchant, Scryer will also do, but it's not as good.
Chest: 15 Spirit is best for pure healing and regen, I still like +6 Stat because it's only slightly less and gives me a bit more stam and Intellect as well
Bracers: +30 Healing is the best enchant by far
Gloves: +35 Healing is, again, the best enchant by far
Pants: Golden Spell Thread, best by a long shot
Weapon: +81 Healing for your primary Weapon (+20 Spirit use to be good for spirit weapons for innervates, but my spirit is so high, I don't need to switch out to guarantee full mana from an innervate anymore), I've read up that Spell Surge is good, but I don't have mana problems so I haven't experimented with it.
Boots: Vitality is definitely the best (+4 HP5, +4 MP5), although if you're really low on Stamina +12 Stamina is acceptable
Also, I know you didn't ask, but your spec could probably use a little work too. IMO, the two specs best worth it for priests are the 23/38 IDS build and the 20/41 CoH build. I've talked about them a lot in other threads, so I won't go on and on about it here.
Lemme know if there's anything else I can help you with.
