So the Ally shammys get the strange clay like totem while the Horde get the wooden ones with horns? Or is the clay one sort of an upgrade somehow??

The totems have no difference in power whatsoever.  Its just the wooden ones wouldn't fit with the whole draenei look, so im assuming thats the answer.  But ya, all the totems do the same damage whether its a wooden or stone, but when u do level and to talents your totems will get stronger obviously

The upgrade is that they look cooler.
