SV is a great spec for dungeons/raids. But be sure u have at least 650 agi before u go SV. This spec is entirely dependant on agility. Judging by the build u posted u seem to be looking at running into a lot of melee fights instead of staying ranged. If u plan on melee most of the time then keep imp. aspect of monkey. If u plan on ranged attack, then switch monkey points to aspect of hawk. Here this is easier....below is a link I feel will be better for SV in dungeons. I've made it to maximize health, traps, overall CC, and dmg output. I have played with all 3 specs and I feel that if u want to play SV then the following build will maximize ur effectiveness to ur party. Dont unestimate wing clip...u can use it to help kite a target or use it to slow a target that is running after ur healer. I also feel that Deflection is a waste of points since hunters rarely engage in melee. U are better off using point in clever traps and wing clip, then get Deterence. It only costs 1 point (given that u have enough points to access it) and 25% dodge & parry is better than 5%...yes i know it only lasts 10 secs, but thats long enough for u to wing clip and kite or ice mob. Imp. Hawk is awesome to have....the faster u shoot the more dmg u can do. Also u have a pet, why not increase his dmg and spend points in Unleashed Fury. If u're not going to use ur pet then whats the point of being a hunter. Also dont waste points in slaying under SV....get Hawk Eye and increase ur range. Being able to shoot past 35 yds can take u out of range of some of the higher lvl bosses aoes and range. And trust me u will want Savage strikes. Currently I am able to 1.5K crit hit with Raptor strike. Increasing ur crit chance for a very powerful attack is a very wise move for when u do get a mob on top of u. Check out the build and let me know what u think.

Thnx for the post Nannys09,
I do agree on some of your strats but have some questions on others, like:
Ive heard that a fast speed bow genaretes a high aggro, wich is not good bcs you might pull wouldnt imp aspect of the hawk affect the same?
now Savage strikes, if im SRV hunter i want to get my target off from me or kite him, wont i generate more aggro if i crit him in melee, i undestand taking the mob from the healer with traps or stuff like that but as you said a hunter wont engage much in melee. so probably i should use points in other talents?
youve also taken off Imp hunters mark, i thought that giving more AP to melee toons would also help, thats bcs tanks can do higher aggro and dpsers... well, can do more dps (lol), this convined with expose weakness could be a good combo, dont you think?
totaly agree with what you said for parry and hawk eye.
now going back to savagery, probably i dont want to crit my mob with raptor or mongoose, but i want to inmovilize him. Wouldnt it be better counterattack instead, it gives you 5 sec extra to finish a trap cooldown and stuff... i mean if i already have deterrence that increases my parry chance, why not take the next skill?
thns for your comments.
I like most of the talents, but personally I'd go for ranged dps and trapping skills, rather than skills like savage strikes and deterrence which would mean you were in direct contact with the mobs. Making the traps last longer with Resourcefulness will make sure you can drop a trap 2sec before it will unfreeze, effectively letting you keep a mob trapped, as long as they don't resist, rather than relying on you being able to counterattack them to get away or anything like that.
Also, putting points into Thrill of the Hunt and Efficiency will help you in the long boss fights, to keep your mana up, especially with the higher crits from all the crit talents (beast/humanoid slaying, lethal shots and killer instinct) as well as the very high agi. Also, I keep Aspect of the Viper on at all times, so having points in Imp. AofH is not really a priority for me, rather be able to use more skills than get a chance-on-hit buff.
And on the other two BM talents, I don't find them too useful other than when soloing, as you should never have to worry about being beat on in raids.
Well, thats just my two cents, hope you give it a try.
Here is a link to a build I made:

Yes i did say hunters should stay out of melee, but why not do a 1K hit to something chasing u. Remember, hunter is a dps class, so any big chunks of dmg is greatly needed. Sure u will get more aggro from one individual target if u crit hit. Unless u freeze him or FD, the mob is still gonna attack u. A quick and easy way to kite and use Raptor, is to click raptor strike as soon as u see a mob coming to u. By hitting Raptor b4 engaging, u will immediately swing raptor when he gets to u. After this wing clip and continue to kite and shoot. U are going to have to kill him any ways, so why not take a big chunk of health from him with a melee attack that crits about every 4 swings.
As for the fast bow = more aggro...A faster bow gives u higher dps, thus causing greater dmg. Depending on ur tank and ur shot rotation, u can control ur aggro. U will pull aggro occassionally but it wont happen enough for u to pass up a bow that increases ur dmg out put.
Imp. hunter mark is great if u have the time to remark new targets after one person is taken down. Re-marking wastes time and mana. Putting the points into unleashed fury will compensate for the hunters mark and will not waste time in shot rotation or mana. 20% increase in pet dmg is amazing...its like adding another person.
i would this made sense and helped u understand my reasoning.
thnx for the help guys
this will really help me on the way i wanna spec my hunt.
