Lack of spirit means it goes to a paladin? Oh dang I must be confused then... because how many 1h maces have spirit? I'm aware of one - Light's Justice. The flat out healing on this and the mp5 make it GREAT for every class, IMO it's geared more towards shamans and druids than a paladin.

This is definitely the best healing mace in the game and i don't want to start any trolling with this... but i see it going to a pally on the count of it lacks spirit... although it could go to any class that could make use of it!!! :o

Resto Shamans as well don't use spirit. So yes, it's more for Shaman / Paladin until a spirit one appears it's for them all.

Not necessarily. Yes it has 526 healing with the red gem, but Illidan's mace has that sweet proc.

Illidan's mace is 484 healing on a one-hand, but also has a proc for 200-350 (its affected by talents) healing. Now its true, you can say it wont proc often, unless you had Chain heal. Because of chain heal's smart targetting, there is a good chance the second and third jumps will proc Illidan's mace.

The proc on the Illidan mace would probably make that preferable over this for shamans and CoH priests on heavy aoe damage encounters (ie. almost all encounters at this level).

There is a staff with +550 healing dropping in Sunwell Plateau instance. Just wait and see ;)

That's on a 2H, this is a 1h. Being 1h it gives scope for a decent off hand that could add even more +healing to the total.

pop a +26 healing gem in it, and you get 526 healing, 11 mp5s. sickness.

Don't forget about a +81 healing enchant, that could put you at 600 healing from your 1h alone....

wouldn't mind this with Book of Highborne Hymns, with the socket, enchant and the off hand this would give about 670 healing 20mp5 22 spell haste and about 46 int! It owns that staff which drops in sunwell...

You are forgetting the spirit on the Kil'Jaeden staff will also convert to +heal. So does the spirit on the Archimonde off-hand.

You don't seem to understand the healing requirements of Sunwell. The damage to tanks and raid is just insane and healing items have to scale to compensate.

I looted this sweet mace for my paladin today, replacing my old Lightfathom Scepter (had horrible luck with Hammer of Atonement and no T6 dkp for the Illidan mace)

I gained about 80 +healing but when you are already sitting over 2400 unbuffed that isn't going to break the game. My FoL heals now about 34 more.

They did put armor ignore on many new weapons. Like all the new rogue and hunter's stuffs add armor ignore.

It is NOT the best in the game, for certain class/specs it is do you think it would be good for a spirit priest who needs spirit not just heals? This is godlike for a JCing resto shammy though, I play a resto druid and I think waiting till Kil could be worth it for his staff or even a spirit priest would LOVE it.

This is the only Sunwell level healing weapon until Kil'jaeden. It also only has stats that are useful to all healing classes and is a 1h mace that can be used by all of them.

As such there's really no need to give preference to any particular class. Yes there's a staff with spirit off a Kil'jaeden, but if you're going to consider his loot, there's a 1h mace with no spirit off of him that's better than this too. So everyone has a better weapon if they wait till him.

But if you can kill KJ does it really matter anyways?
