ok if ur a BM spec u will LOVE me forever for what im about to tell u!! this will get u the most dps and most damage u have ever had...all u have to do is make/dowload EVERYTHING

and make this macro

/castrandom arcane shot

with both of those u WILL be on the top of the DM EVERY TIME

hey look i can click one button, walk away for a bit, make me a sandwich and come back and still be shooting. not much skill needed with macros, huh? if u arent good with ur hunter then sure a macro will be great for u, but theyll only work for so long and for certain situations. just like everything else in WOW, macros have their faults and limits. WOW is about adapting to different situations and handling other's mistakes. now if there is a macro for every mishap then let me know...but i highly doubt it.

i love people who use macros shows how talentless they really are at playing their char. had a guy in old guild tell me it was impossible to have a perfect shot rotation unless u macro one i laughed and beat his ass on dps charts easy...for one marco never uses multi shot witch i thread a lot because its an instant and can be used to thread in between ur auto arcane thread..keep in mind that u dont be dumb and multi shot wen cc is around...so hey if u want to be a noob and continue to suck at ur class rather than actually becoming skilled then by all means use a macro designed for no talent posers that think they no everything

Hmmm Lex is more of a tool than i thought. Must suck as a hunter also. Marco = Tool. Hmmm I'll use my anti-huntard macro then go make a cup o' coffee mmmm mmm good.

If you think that you can just push a button and walk away, then you obviously haven't used a steady shot macro.
The one I have is like Lex's, minus arcane shot. As a MM hunter, with 29.5 crit, I can do insane dps with a steady shot- auto shot- kill command macro, and can throw in arcane, multi, concussive etc. as needed. I don't use it all the time, mainly on tank and spank boss's, but it is mana conservative, and maximizes your dps.

Macro's are nice and all, but i'm sorry I don't pay $15 a month to hit a button and walk away like some people. Just destroys the point of the game imo.

I had your same opinion up until a month ago, when I was searching for ways to maximize my dps and conserve mana in those big boss fights. This is the first and only macro I've used in a year and a half of playing WOW.

If you have the perfect shot rotation, and never ever clip an auto shot, and hit kill command the second it is up every single time, then you are a better hunter than I..... except when I am using my macro, because that is what it does.

Here is the macro I use, for those interested. (You need to spam this macro, or it will just keep shooting auto after it runs thru once.)

/cast [target=pettarget, exists] Kill command
/cast Steady shot

I've seen similar with arcane and multi built in, but IMO that is dangerous if you have any CC'd mobs. I throw those in on cooldowns as needed.

ok im not going to fight with any1 but macros r ez to make for any type of fight.....like for a boss in kara u need a macro to target the demon chains...b/c if u dont u will lose every person in ur raid...

and yes u can put multi shot into a macro!...i have many diffrent macros for diffrent things...if there is a CC'ed mob i use one that has only 1 target if not i use the one that has multi

and its not that u press one button and thats it, u still need to use other spells when needed like a trap or FD or even MD....for those it would be dum to put in a macro and wouldnt be good to use at all in 1 b/c u would lose dps

and it helps alot when u need to do a fast MD to tank when he loses agro..i use this one

its a simple macro that helps ur raid/grp when in trouble but still keeps ur dps on the rise!

if u wanted a macro that had multi in it u would have one like this

that is what one that would keep good dps and do alot of damage, the only prob with that macro is that u will have to FD after each multi shot so u dont pull agro

lol if i didnt know any better, i would think that lex is one of the founders of macros and is looking to promote them in order to one day sell them for big money....

I tried both the macros that were posted and found they where shite, Given that i am MM i will have to wait till i spec BM to try properly. and for MIsdirection try

/cast [target=focus] misdirection

set up your focus target in your interface options, you will only have to press a key then foget about it, easier then having to type in the persons name etc

Maybe it's an addon I have (stupidmount?), but I don't need to dismount to shoot arcane, I just ride or fly up and shoot, it dismounts me automatically, no macro needed.
