Is it worth it to take up blacksmithing as a pally? Especially for armor... the weapons don't concern me as much (I am prot), or will the stuff I'd be making be for warriors?

Pally blacksmiths can makes some greta items for healing and for ret, new ones are always being added, stay with it,
Most of if not all prot pally gear is not weapon or armorsmithng specific, the goods for you are just pure Black Smithing. Im only level 57 and I have already bought the plans for Boots of the Protector. If you did your research than you know that you need these stats on your gear,
+ defense skill + spell damage (consecrate, SoR, and also good for OT healing) + stamina (very universal) + intellect (not that important because of spiritual attenuent) + Shield Block Value (great for when you are uncrushable and uncrittable) Now look at all the armorsmithing plans and you'll notice you'll be wasting gold on bind on pickup items you wont be wearing end game and most are end game specific. If I could do it all over again I would of done enchanting because prot pallies can solo instances and farm mats like nobodies business. Armorsmithing imo is strictly for prot warriors. Weaponsmithing is more universal for any type of pvp or level grinding weapon when you're not holding the aggro for your raid or group.
I wonder.......what if you did weapon smithing for a ret pally? what would be the gains & and losses? From what I see most people who are WBS are warriors...but I see the "Chance to stun" as a BIG damage increase for a pally. For those who don't know.....when you stun someone and then drop a judgment of command on them....and if it procs, you do more damgae than if you proc with them not being stunned...a lot more damage. I hope someone has done this before. Tell me what yall think
There is a reason that Stormherald is called "Stunherald." I made the Lionheart Champion instead, which is more for warriors than ret pallies. Still, it is sick looking and the stats are sweet.
