The Rogue trainer suggested going to Swamp of Sorrows to improve the lock picking.

Grab a couple Elixir of Greater Water Breathing at the AH before heading out. From Stonard, go to the Pool of Tears and swim around the deeper areas. At 190 LP, the Mossy Footlocker[s] are orange. I believe they turned yellow at 200.

Orange and yellow seemed to guarantee a skillup.

Keep in mind that higher level are moving in and out of the temple and a lowly Rogue makes a good target and lots of fun for a group sport.

Is there a good place to go to get a more complete outline on lock picking?

Is there anything less funny than being in Hellfire Ramparts and having a Rogue that can't open a locked chest?

bigger problem for myself really im a 47 UD rogue and my Lping is only at 165. Any quick easy efficient ways to get it up

Don't forget to pickpocket.  Once you start hitting the lvl 32 npc's & better you can lvl off the junkboxes.  I only got behind in lockpicking once when I was lvl 61 and 272 lockpicking.  I went pickpocketing along the Glory Road cliffs and got a mixture of junkboxes.  Some I could open, some I needed lvl 300 for.  I ended up with a lot of poison mats.  After that, pickpocketing kept me in junkboxes to stay lvl'ed up.
