I am a 64 enhancement shammy now and my goal is to hit 70 and then go resto.  However on my server(Garona) I cannot find any resto shammys to ask questions to.  I am sure they are out there, just not in my guild.  Ok I was wondering if I should wait until I hit lvl 70 or swtich now.  Also if I switch now is there a place in particular to get gear(meaning instances) or just anywhere.  I have no experience as a healer so any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Also if you are on my server please feel free to pst me.

Well, it has been said many times before, and the only true answer would be:"If you wanna go resto now, just do it, cause it all depends on how you like to play your character".

On a personal note, I have a level 70 resto shammy that I enjoy playing a lot. I levelled her enhancement and didnt respec for resto till I hit 68. Those 2 last levels would have been murder, if I hadnt played a lot of instances, cause solo questing as resto is not really a lot of fun, imo anyways.

About loot, I always find www.wow-loot.com great for tips for easy loot pre-raiding. Lots of items from instances, but also from different quest. You can easilly hit +1400-1500 healing with pre-raid gear and enchants. So check out that site for great tips.

Do all the group quests? They usually give pretty good healing rewards (due to being group quests and all).

E.g. the Ring of Blood one.

Im having the same sort of questions and concerns about R-shams. I currently have a 64 (just hit it last night) and debating WHEN i wanna go resto. Ive been healing ramps, BF, SP, UB just fine while i was at the appropriate lvls. I find that as enh spec healing, mana becomes almost a non issue. Anyone else see this too? With water shield, mana totem, and shamanistic rage for regen, i almost never go oom unless its lack of dps. My +heals arnt the best, 560 w/o buffs or totem, as well as roughly 6800 mana. My first goal was to respec at 62... but after doin so well even as an offspec healing, im rethinkin that i shud go resto maybe at 66 or so? Anyone have any suggestions on when to switch? As well as a good resto spec?

Just like any other class a gathering profession and doing your daily quests at 70.  You can find someone else doing them at the same time easy so just group up and heal them.  easy enough to make money.

Hehehe, I dont make money with my level 70 resto shammy. Or, I dont go grinding with my level 70 shammy.

I have enchant at 375 which I make a lil money of (I DE just about anything) and I have Leatherworking which I'm considering of re-rolling.

I have another levle 70 (warlock) which I go grinding with.
