So I just rolled a shammy and am really excited about leveling him up. Planning on leveling him as a enh shammy but I'm not to sure what I really should focus on stats wise. While I'm really eager to level him I'm not sure what I should give him. I'm assuming attack power but once again I'm not sure, would love some ideas!

im only a 64 sham but from the most part, its a lil tough to gear one. Not saying its hard, but stats wise... we need a variety. I mainly focus on STR, AGIL/crit, STM, then INT. Once u lvl high enough to get water shield, mana isnt too big of a problem... just stack AP and crit.

If im incorrect, can someone more experienced in shamans lend a helping hand? I'm kind acurious myself

Strength>Attack power>Agi>Crit>Hit rating>Stamina>Intel

THat is the priority for enhancement.

1 point of stregth= 1.6 attack power
1 point agi= slightly more then 1 point of crit.

if you are going enhancement then you need:a little bit of agility, stamina, intellect and some good strength.

If you change your mind and you go elemental then you need:lots of intellect, stamina, and strength(for a quick blow to someone's head every once in a while.

If you change your mind again and go resto you need: lots of intellect, and lots of stamina. any other stat could help isn't really needed.

for the guy who said he need to know what stats aree important for enhance shamans.before your about 60 you need lots of strenth and ap then agailty stam and intellect. after 60 you need hit rating first its the most important stat for dps in raiding. theres no point in have tons of ap if you miss every other hit so stack hit rating the strength and ap, the agility crit and stam and intellect.

That is abit incorrect, enh shamans do not need to consentrate on hit rating, due to the way windfury works.

For an enhance shaman that dual wields(and there shouldn't be anyother kind imo), There is no reson to have hit rating on your gear.  Look at your talent trees.  Follow the DW talent to the end.  There you will see that that is where you get 6% hit rating.  Now look at the resto tree (yes I said resto) Fill in the blanks till you max out the Nature's Guidance talent.  This will take 13 points and get you another 3% hit rating.  Now you have 9% hit rating on top of your base.  This is effectivly you hit cap, anything else is just extra.
As for stats, STR is always first, then it gets debatable.  Imo it should go Str>Stam>Agi>Int>what ever else.  Never crit chance.  Yes crit's are an important part of our abilities, being the basis of how they proc.  However, crit chance only effects crits, not dodge or anything else.  Agi does.  You can stack Agi and get the crit chance % you need to be effective.  15% at min to 25% max should be your goal.  More means you pulling agro from the tank, less means that your not being used to your full potential.

This is for level 70's, and untill you get there have fun.  That's why we pay 15$ a month to play.

hit rating is alot more important then you think. just like for any melee dps classes. you need hit rating
