they're both similar due them both being straight hybrids (along with pallies) it makes this a strong decision.  Duel wield and shocks are awesome, prowl and massive dps closing in on a rogue's are both awesome

I'd go as a shammy, there a lot easier to use if your new to WoW

well if you want to be a healer i would go with druid, if you want to be a dps i would go with druid, if you want to have moonkin then go for druid. i think druids are better than a shammy.

Ive been both. If you prefer PvE use shamans. if you like PvP better be a druid.

They both do well in both situations. Enhancement shaman are nice in PvP and do well in PvE as well. Resto is wanted in both, obviously. But if I was to pick a caster tree, I would pick Moonkin for the spell crit bonus. I don't like crit bonuses that can be destroyed lol.

Played 70 levels of a druid now and i have shammy too i think you should make druid (feral).
less down time cause all special abilites doesent base on mana faster to level. But in end game as feral yoyu dont have role in raids or instas.
So after 60 ferals are going worse in pve so you have to think between moonkin and resto.
As resto you are a healer ofc with many hots good healer for instas.
Moonkin is too goood for instas cause its armor (there it still matters).
And moonkin aura is helping al casters in your group and raid but in raid moonkin armor isnt use full.
Cus if you get aggro you are dead.

Well, Depends, they are both very similar...

Shaman    Druid
Totems            Shapeshift- What the classes are known for.
Elemental        Balance- Caster Talent
Enhancement      Feral Combat- Melee Talent
Restoration      Restoration- Healing Talent
Elemental Spirit  Nature Dryad

Well, as you can see, they're very alike, yet different.

As an ele, you lay down your caster totems and earthbind, get behind em a lil and kite the guy with your lightning and shocks.

As a bal, you go moonkin and stick this guy in your roots while dealing high powered nature and arcane spells to him and taking away his stealth ability (lol i love that part)

Enhance you stick down your windfury and put on that lil windfury buff and you smack the crap outta him with melee

Feral Combat you stealth and then jump him and stun him, while dealing high damage, then you usually tank him in bear form and just damage him til he dies

Restos- depends, wanna heal with HoTs and be a tree or lay down that mana totem, stoneskin, and all those improvement totems while chain healing your group?

It all depends on what you wanna do in the game and how you like to play, both are great classes and i guess you just have to do what appeals to you more, or better yet, make both of em, get em to level 20 or so and see which you like.
