How about Felguard, taking improved Health Funnel and Demonic Resilience, and also Grim Reach and Nightfall?

the 2 ways to solo elites are either chain fearing and keeping dots up or using a felguard and healing him through it.

if you have the space to fear the mob around and the mob isn't fear immune i would go with kiting every time. there's some elites that you simply couldn't heal a FG through even with imp health funnel.

go affliction/demo, use imp for mana and health buff, maintain 5 dots and fear the elite all day until dead

If you use the FG make sure to mitigate the damage he takes as much as possible. Also take improved health funnel.

Remember that fear can be broken with Curse of Recklessness (which is both a blessing and a curse (no pun intended) ), and that you can fear as a FG spec too.

Oh right nearly forgot. With any spec you can solo any mob near any elite demon. Most notably Nessingwary's quests in Nagrand.

the thing I have realized that with an elite it is like fighting someone 4 to 5 lvls higher than what it says they are

e.g 55 elite= 60 get it. That is what it seems like to me...
