the more i play my elemental shammy in arena(2vs2) the more i realize that i am the only caster without cc and without a pet. WTF!!!!???? ALL the other casters have both cc and pets usable in arena and i get nothing?
i mean imagine what would a pet or  do........wow nice, to be able to cc the damn rogue  or put your pet on caster(like everybody).....:)
i see this as an unforgivable gesture from blizzard. even druids got their trees now.... . Doesn't blizz realize that it is kinda hard to cast while u are hit , u don't have any cc, and now they made the bonus from glad set 50% chances for LB not to be interrupted by dmg, why?, really why? 70% was 2 good? i was hoping to make it into 100%.
i know ppl usually ask for buffs that would make them op, but i just want to be like everybody else, even though i would like to be op for like 2-3 months just to get my moral up.
Not to mention pve( and now there is a rumor that from expansion druids will be able to entangle indoors- witch will make them even more desirable than shamans), nobody, i repeat nobody, wants a caster without a cc in heroic dungeons,; doesn't that seem a little odd?
i am hoping for a lot from wotlk but i know i will just be dissapointed.:(((

While I understand it would be ace to have both CC and a pet, I dont want Blizzard to make us all the same. The reason I like my shammy, is that (imo) it's a challenge to play it right.

You have a totem for _every_ situation. And a buff for _every_ player. Granted those totems are stuck in the ground, and you have to place new ones very often, but still! You can buff hunters and rogues with agi, buff your healer with +healing, buff your dps with str etc etc etc.

I really dont see the "unfav" part that most people yell about shamans. Granted we used to be way more powerfull, but if you stick around, I'm sure we will get buffs and nerfs again like everybody else.

Well there are two simple things they could do to fix the problem. They could allow us to use elementals in arenas or alow us to have a fearing totem. Maybe a windshock to make the enemy caught up in a whirlwind?

So our burst melee dps can top a rogue, our magic dps is comparale to mages, and we can heal just as any priest. We now can shapeshift just as fast as a druid. We have a cheap costing DOT along with an interrupt that does huge damage, a PARTY FEAR BREAK, and we can instantly cut the entire enemy parties speed without needing to think about it. Not to mention we can buff our entire party by clicking a single button.

Now let's all /qq until we can sheep.

lol don't play as a pure caster man you still have melee attacks and whatnot.  Provided you havent completely gimped yourself melee wise with a crap dps caster weapon you can still allow yourself to spread out into that hybrid role that blizzard intended.  Mail armor melee with a bit of caster or mail armor caster with a bit of melee dps wise or mail wearing healer with a bit of either for restoration wise.  If you've got a crapton of +spellpower then slap a frostbrand on your weap when you can't get the spell off.  Getting that quick pseudo-cc off will allow you to get away and start hurlin those bolts again.

Go roll a lock if you want a pet; why are you trying to use LB in melee anyway? Use your shocks & totems, they're instant cast and you can pound people with your weapons when you're close. The problem with being the jack-of-all-trades is that you can't just focus on any single aspect of your class. You have to rely on ALL of them at once. That's everybody's problem with the shams, they all want them to be casters, warriors, or priests rather than Shamans.
