Hey all, first post ever, ill try to keep it short. If you are losing money enchanting, you're doing it WRONG. Turn your LOSE/LOSE sit into a WIN/WIN and heres how. Number one, i NEVER EVER sell enchants with my mats EVER. I do keep mats on hand for my gear, my friends, of any clueless n00b wandering by who may need a helping hand. Extra mats go right on AH. Low levels you will not sell ANY enchants cuz you have nothing anyone wants, but thats ok because you are still making money selling mats. First enchants you might sell are beastslayer or 1h or 2h +dmg, and these are more for the glow than anything /2:'dont look like a noob, give your weapon a glow!' But remember, we are selling your SERVICE as a chanter, they need to bring mats and heres why:
LOSE/LOSE: no bank slots available cuz they are filled with mats, poor, forced to spend time spamming trade begging for business. You get a response, finally. Now i usually end up 'feeling bad' that im asking for so much money, even tho all im asking is the same price everyone else on the server is paying for the same mats! Customer is not happy, therefore no tip. So i have no mats now, little money, BIG hassle, but hey, least i got the point in chanting. NOW...
WIN/WIN: my mats on AH, someone buys them (CHA-CHING!). I see in trade, 'LF chanter for [x], my mats' so i answer. Now, since i dont have to talk money, i can banter 'yes yes, thats a good enchant, i have it myself' blah blah blah, which leads to a nice tip (CHA-CHING!) and i get the point in enchanting. SO...
Use fiery as an example (prices vary by server of course):
LOSE/LOSE=25g, 1 chant point, BIG hassle
WIN/WIN =40g, 1 chant point, ZERO hassle, and maybe even a repeat customer.
And to raise your skill, use the phrase the LOSE/LOSE chanters hate: 'Chanter LFW, free your mats' Good Luck all
