Im horde first of all and ive done some bgs except eye of the storm coz my main is lvl 60.

ive won every AV, every AB, only WSG is not always a win but thats mostly because there are many annoying gnome twink rogues.

although i heard that AV at lvl 70 is a different story

oh well, im happy being HORDE!!!

Dunno...maybe it's a myth that happens because of the placebo effect, as our premades (I'm Alliance) always win, even against other premades...

So it may be a psychological effect because Alliance think they're gonna lose already.

But probably nobody knows the real answer.

I have heard a couple of theories,
1. the horde have a slight advantage in offence and since PVP all about offence ther you go.

2. Because there are so many more alliance they never get as good at playing in a group. where the alliance just go Rambo and get cut down, for there trouble.

2b and this I have seen I am a 60 so that means I am low on the bracket and in WG you zone in any one over 65 zones out once they see who they are grouped with. so they would rather take the 15 min chicken penalty than fight with a lowbie.

Mind you it also depends on tha game I think I am 40+ for AV and I have lost mayby 4-5 times.

I play only the alliance but have some horde friends and this is why we lose:
1. There are people that dont work together and/or are rude to everyone else and causes fights.
2. The leader never accutally leads and mostly I have to or my friends I go with.
3. Its not that horde is any better, its just that alot of people who are good at pvp dont play and we get suckish people (no offense to anyone).
4. We have too many low lvs that join like in BGs sometime i see 4 or 5 lv 50-54s.
*****5. we have no healers... ever... and when we do they dont heal each other.... people really just dont help each other.

When we have premades though we are very strong btw.

It still happens on my server where the Horde outnumber us 3 to 1, and also at 70.

EDIT: Yeah I agree with the leader bit...because when there's a leader we always (90% of the time) win.

I've heard the bg situation is turned after 60 on my server. The allies really own the high level bgs. I just got 60 so I don't know first hand, but I've heard plenty of warning from my high level guildies that you should get all the marks you need before 60. One theory I've heard for this is that instead of wasting their time trying to farm honor at lower levels, the allies wait for higher levels where the honor's more per kill.

I've also noticed that when doing AV, there were only been a couple times it's 40 on 40, mostly it's 40 on 20 in favor of the horde in the 51-60 bracket. I don't play AV all the time so it may be that I keep catching them when they're breaking from bg.

It's the reverse on my battlegroup....differs for each one, really.

Im on Dark Iron and I just realy statred playing bg at lv 55 ish.  I am an Alliance player.  When we played AV i think the alliance only lost like 3 fights out o like 50 or 60 in the whole week i was camping there.  The other bg is another story.  Lost more than we won, but still ok.  I just find in the smaller bg no one works together.  I find myself straying off sometimes.  Im working on that though and getting better at it.

    Thats just the lower level BGs. No one in their right mind is a healing spec at those levels, due to the fact they're probably just stopping in and doing a few before they level past that level group. Try leveling as a healing spec lol. And btw, when you get to 70, theres plenty of healers, i myself being a resto druid. One time most of our AB team were healers.. So when theres no more leveling to do, people start switching to healing roles.

It does sometimes happen at 70 where there are no healers, or that they suck.

Once, I got second-highest healing in a WSG(both factions included). On a Warlock -_- (with only 2 epics)

on by battle group in wsg everyone goes off on their own and u see the horde sticking together.
but AV we carve up cos we have a leader and experienced people who know what to do and how to do it. we also stick together. horde seem to sacrifice themselves trying to slow us down but we usually run past them - if we stay and help other alliance well all end up being defense

this is just a myth.. as I play on both sides i see both sides..

I have played on the horde and lost 10 in a row...

i have played on the horde and won 10 in a row..

i played the alliance and won 15 on time..

it depends on the server and the group...

you have have the best geared people play in the BGs but if they are not talking in BG chat and talking about what to do and where to go.. you will lose 100% of the time..
if you want to win... you have to talk

it change from battle group to battle group and in which braquet you play in, what faction win the more...

Really all you have to do is just say 'Lumber mill 5 incoming' or
'Draenei tower 3 Horde/Ally' and you can win against almost every PUG.

Unless it happens that you start off half full. I wish they'd fix the system quick (100% of all AVs I zone into, are half full. WTF?!)

from what i can see, as stated above, communication in a positve way accounts for alot more wins than people yelling at people being noobs, kids, finger pointing, u name it. Its only a game, enjoy it , work together. Direction and advice from the veterans does alot more good to someone just learning the ropes, we all had to start there, help em out.

1 Alliance think they're already going to lose
2) Alliance dont work in groups.
3) Alot of the alliance players are under 18, and don't really know how to pvp
4) Horde dont get cocky, even though they know theyre gonna win
5) Horde ACTUALLY work together
6) Alot of horde players are 18+ and understand pvp

The most important thing to remember is that servers matter.
Some servers are full of well geared people who understand pvp and do premades. Some servers are owned by the horde, while a few are owned by the alliance.

in my server we r out numberd by the allience  and we tie in wsg, we always lose in ab and always win in av  from what ive seen they do work together, in av the only reson we win is cuz we r fast and play d+O will they just O

This is how i see it..


1.in a 29 AB there will be 10vs10,

HORDE/
the 10 horde players will consist of all 29 twinks with 4k hp and have a couple healers (that heal), a bunch of rogues, and a few doTing locks...

Aliance/
The 10 alliance player will consist of 2 lvl 29's semi twinks..4 lvl 20-24s (they know there gunna get owned but they want to test out the cool new (AIMED SHOT in BG) and 2 lvl 27 dps/heals (THAT DONT HEAL)


2.The horde is usualy consisted up of PVPrs..that lvl the chrtrs 1-70

Alliance is consisted up of (SOME NOT ALL) 8 year old boys/girls that have a lvl 70 there uncle gave to them...

Lastly.. a good thing about alliance...GASP!!!!  ally raids verry well.and REAL WORLD PVP ..we kick ass..

that is my opinion about why ally looses..i play both horde and ally 2 70's of each faction...i hope this speaks out to ally to step up there game a little bit.

Well, I've read all the posts above, and I couldn't disagree with most of you more. I would call myself an experienced player (with over 40,000 HKs on my main, and 17 alts across different servers), and I've played on both sides.

Both sides are equally capable of winning when the team is organised and the players communicate (and I don't mean just calling each other noobs). However, my experience of playing Alliance is that so many players seem to be very immature, and I think this is because little kiddies don't want to play Horde characters.

I do not believe the racials favour the Horde, since gnomes have by FAR the best racials of any class (their biggest asset being their size - it sometimes takes two seconds to be able to even target a gnome that is running in circles around you when you're a Tauren, and by that time you're half dead), followed by Night Elves with stealth.

And although the Horde used to win far more battlegrounds, I think this has changed since more and more twinks are entering the game. On my servers, there are definately more Ally twinks than Horde, and again, this is probably due to little kiddies who cannot stand losing against better players.

Tab targeting is FTW I hear, and the small size also prevents healers from targeting you.

My theory on why horde win more is based on the simple fact that most people who barely begin to play wow and are introduced to the Create Charactor screen choose Alliance. Why they choose Alliance? Mostly it is because the "majority" of people want to be "good" guys, the feeling you get off of both factions is that alliance are the noble good ppl who ride on horse protecting the innocent/the horde are the mean usually ugly looking monstrositys that are always the bad guys in alot of games. Now im not saying that "most" people want to be good guys, im saying that they choose them for that reason in the BEGINING! And that is the reason most horde people win. What do u mean i dont understand? Well for that very fact that people choose alliance in the begining. People that are new to wow = NOOBS. So for the lvl 70sish alliance people that have been playing for along time begin to hate their own faction more then horde. I mean come on everybody hates more people in their own faction then they do the opposite. The 70ish people hate the alliance nooobs on their server so usually they want to get back or them or they are just so fed up they stay horde forever. This feeling of intense frustration makes the professional well played players choose horde, and DOMINATE! It is not the noobs fault...they choose alliance just by default in their subconscious mind. And their noob friends played alliance who told them about wow. Imagine if our society's ideals were evil? Kids would love the Joker instead of batman, venom instead of spider-man....if that were true Alliance would win far more BG's then horde. YAh right.

If you did not understand the above post:
New wow players choose to make alliance chars->since they are new they are noobs->which makes the higher alliance pist off with some of the noobs they have to deal with->which makes them make a horde char->why they win.

Depends what battle group you're in retard.

I have a 70 orc shaman and a 70 gnome lock and so i know how it is but i never notice a difference with allies yelling more or sucking more. whether your horde or alliance doesnt change the person you are in real life. so, its just a coincidence that horde win more for you. its equal for me.

Im a 70 NE Hunter and i know horde always win..i think its becose almost every kids in world want to be alliance becose they want a goodlooking char. And almost everyone start as alliance the first time. Then all the others who are horde has played way longer then ally..Thats what i think:)

On me battelgroup, Ruin, we win every single time on AV.

The only time that the Horde gives us problems is when Rolex and his pocket healer are playing -.-. I mean 1500 ranged Attack Power, hard to find out what is shooting at you when you are already dead.

Ally sucks that's why horde wins :).

The only reason why ally never wins is b/c they're lazy. If ally put as much effort into winning as horde do, without doubt horde will get raped. I'd love to see all of you who think horde are better to fight me 1v1 on Bleeding Hollow Server (ally).
