I will be logging out all this weekend in my RET gear.

I will still be holy specced.

What I am wondering is.. can I get a critique on my set? I know I am missing a bunch.  Can ya steer me towards what I should be praying to drop.(or should I just PVP.. remember I can gather this as holy.. probably will actually)

Also, can you point me to a good guide for spell rotation?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey Val, sorry for the late reply... ive been on vacation so i havnt hard the chance to surf thru these forumns. Anyways, so i checked out ur gear and for the most part, u seem to be headed towards the right direction. The only thing im kinda curious about is ur +hit. If ur aim is for PVE as ret, i think ur doin just fine. Ur AP isnt the greatest but its cuz of ur gear. The hit is nice, but ur lacking something use ret's really need, crit. You should look into replacing either some gems or a couple pieces of gear to get a lil more of it. Ultimatly, the approx crit u shud have is roughly around 30% so that you can keep ur vengence up (talent, not seal). I know ur still holy so you dont have it yet but once u go full ret, you'll want more crit.

As for everything else, i really cant see anything since it isnt really much to see. Mana looks like it could be an issue for you tho... looks like ud be better fit as a tankadin than a ret with ur current numbers haha. Id say just go grind out some honor and go buy urself some S1. Either that or grind and save them for S2 which shud be out in a couple months (if that). Other than that, the best of luck to ya.

ps. for pve, u do use ur SoB right? (or will i shud say)

Yes, this is for PVE... as I believe I do better in PVP as Holy.  And what I really want to do is smack gruul and prince upside the head.


I know I need trinkets(one is rune of the guard captain and the other is the epic tank trinket from hero MgT.(and Libram).

I am working towards upgrading all the blues I have as well.
(head wrist,belt,legs,and boots...they are all decent ret.. but still blue)

Hey ret... check my craptastic gear out. I have T4 chest pice but i didnt put it on yet. Also im almost done grinding the honor for the S1 mace. I hate my helm but its better then my sword and i will probably get the S1 helm in a week or so. I am broke so i have some crap gems but they will be changed soon (as soon as i get off my a$$ and do dailys.)

Any class can pvp we know this, but that is true with spec as well. I have gone over many specs on the talent tree with all class on www.worldofwarcraft.com and found that each spec can bring its own to the BGs.(like wize to those doing raids)

It is simple about how u can help your partners the best.

Ret pallys can make it in Raids as a DPS as much as a warrior can. In some places i would much rather have ret pally over MS hybrid warrior any day.  Like with Kara. A big part of that raid is Undead and the added spell damage with the pally is nice to have.

Nice hit raiting. I need to get mne up. Pretty good STR and AP. What weapon are you useing? Are you PvP or PvE? Also 5/8/48 is a nice spec. Gives you the 3% hit.
