Okey im a level 10 troll hunter and was wondering where should I level?

Is it about time to head to the barrens?

Last but not least what pet shoud I use? I was thinking a raptor.

Upon reading lately it seems I should try a gorilla for tanking but idk where to get one.

(I dont have TBC so ravenger isn't an option as far as I know)

You have to be in the 30 lvls to get a gorilla from stranglethorn vale. As for pet really its baout choosing which pet you like the most unless you want it for specific things. I have a scorpid for BG and use a cat for PVE with one spare slot to tame and learn the new abilities, this is just the way I like to play just choose what you like the most and make sure u learn all the skills for the pets. Petopia has some good information on pets.

The barrens is probably your best bet,I like silverpine forest becasue its all close together  and so questing is quick but theres no hunter trainer in undercity so can be annoying, but you should quest quite nicely in the barrens with the quests from ratchet to.

You could also quest in Silverpine Forest.  I usually make questing easy on myself, about level 10 I head to the barrens or silverpine whichever is closer, do all the quests that are green and yellow in one area, head to the other and do the greens and yellows there.  Sometimes it can be more travel time whan it's worth but I've almost soloed two characters to almost 70.

yes gorillas are awesome tanks.  the have very very high health.  especially mine since its  a rare spawn.  its the rare white ape (Uh'lokh, or something like that) from un'goro crater.  its an 8 hours spawn rate but is well worth the camping (he is a lvl 53).  its tanking stats are awesome.  10K armor and 7.3 health as base stats (this is at lvl 70).  semi buffed, i have gotten him to 10K health.  i can use him as a very effective off tank in the high end dungeons (used him in shattered halls, shadow labs, and MgT) with no probs.  they are great for saving groups since they have thunderstomp.  its a very powerful aoe for a pet and when stacked with growl can grab a lot of aggro.  he's amazing....when im questing he's able to take on groups of 6 or 7 without dying (with me healing him).

since he is a lvl 53 u have to wait for a while before u can get him.  but i strongly recommend that all hunters get this gorilla.  u will love him.  look him up on petopia for more info.

For lvl-ing 10-22 ghostlands is it, good hunter quest rewards too, stuff is close together.

As for pet there here a good scorpid  for a low level where your at.

http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/html/mobs/mob_venomtailscorpid.php

That would cover you til 16-17 and the ghostclaw ravenger the lowest lvl for claw 3 for horde

and there is a hunter trainer in silvermoon.
