The party would be alright.
well the only point i see in having a protadin is avenger's shield to slow down people so the rets can nuke em, but that doesnt constitute the lack of a 3rd dps in my opinion.
I can see the points of having 3 pallys for 3 buffs maybe 3 if you count the resist auras but it seem useless.
With 5 bops it will be much harder to shut down the healers.
The main problem in this is that any team with 2 paladin is meant to be a defensive base team, yet retadins oom easy and can be easily oomed.
Personally, I'm wondering what he means by "All 5 Buffs and all 5 Blessings".
Auras:
Devotion
Concentration
Retribution
Frost Resist
Shadow Resist
Fire Resist
Sanctity
We already have 7 auras. And honestly, it's not exactly uncommon to see Fire, Frost and Shadow damage all available in 5v5 groups. All it really takes is a mage and a lock, or a mage and a shadow priest.
Blessings (Long term buffs only):
Might
Wisdom
Sanctuary
Kings
Salvation
Well, Salvation is pretty... weak. Especially in this case. Kings, Sanctuary, Might and Wisdom is a nice spread, though. I'll give you that much.
As for CC. There IS some CC available in this group. You've got 2 players with Repentance. It's not a long lasting CC by any means, and it has a ludicrously long CD on it. But it does work very well. I've seen Ret pallies annihilate in PvP using it.
You've also got 5 HoJ's every 15 seconds, which can EASILY screw up a party. It's even more HoJ's with Glad gear, due to reduced HoJ CD. It might only be a 3 second stun, but it can get really annoying if you get chain stunned. Especially if the one being stunned is the biggest damage dealer.
The judgements that would be available in this setup are pretty sickening. Especially if one of your Holy pallies is a Shockadin build. With proper coordination...
Repentance
Imp JoCrus
JoComm
2xCS
AS
HS
If your target isn't dead by this point, he's very close to it.
As was also stated earlier, 5 BoP makes it exceptionally difficult to shut down the healer. Unless your opponents are heavy on the spellcasting side, that is. BoP does NOTHING to stop a Mage-Destruction Lock combo from turning your healer into a smoldering pile.
This build has possibilities to be very, very dangerous. The only problems would be their extreme limitations in certain circumstances. A smart enemy party would see 5 pallies, and would immediately turn to their ranged casters. Kiting would be this parties worst enemy. Short of using AS to daze, and Repentance to snare, you're gonna have serious difficulties against a heavy ranged crew. And all they really have to do is wait for the healer to pop his Divine Shield, then it's honestly game over. Spellsteal the shield, nuke the healer, rinse and repeat until you're through.
This crew won't make it into the top charts of Arena Teams, but they certainly aren't incapable of delivering the punishment. That, and hoping your opponents don't have a Pally on heal to cleanse your Repentance while you're trying to drop your punishment.
I am one of the pallies in the 5 Pally team that Bosjokes was was talking about. I'm the one that came up with the specs and most likely the one to come up with the game plan for the team (most likely to come with some complaining with the others in the group) and, here is why i speced them this way. Plz tell what you think, and how I can improve them.
Ret Pally #1. Well be me speced Ret/Holy for damage and keeping mana for that damage by having more mana. Using BoL to increase the healing power of the group. Seeing that there isn't an increase talent to BoL. i don't have to waste talent points BoM seeing that there is 4 more pallies in the group that can caste the spell i can have some one else in it to improve it and have a better ala round team.
Ret Pally #2. This one well have the improve BoM and well be there to add even more damage and other pally buffs and auras.
Prot Pally. This pally well have the buff that well reduce damage done to us and give a little back to the melee attackers(yes i know it only goes of on blocks). This one is place in here to slow them down to and give us some range on the casters.(all tho not much but still something)
Holy Pally #1. This one is going to be the life of the group and well be healing most of the damage done to us. Yes he well have holy shock. I want this spell on him because it is nice in a pinch and can heal and damage as we all know.
Holy Pally #2. Is going to be more of a hybrid and well pick up some of the improvements that i missed with the prot pally so he can have the most damage he can get as a prot pally along with all the damage reducers that prots have. Having this one as the back up healer well give us the chance we need to get throw some of the more ranged group.
I see where range attacks well be a prob for us, but with the healing we can do and with some one controlling the group(Most likely me with the most arena matches under my belt)I think we can get there with this team. Here is the Spec for each toon.
